Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Believe it or not, yes it was liberation against a 55 year tyrant regime. I know, hard to fathom an oppressed population rising up and overthrowing their tyrants, as many others have tried with some success back then, but that's what many in the ME and wider Arab region all tried to do. Crazy that people have had enough of brutal oppressions and demanded something different huh, but I wouldn't expect an Ausie to even remotely relate.
You Syrians and Libyans are very simple minded folks and easily tricked like kids, destroying your own country because of "liberation against tyranny", what a joke.

I think tribalism and sectarianism is strong in post-ottoman artificial constructs, where national identity is absent. The foolishness is organic, unlike the foolishness of Iranian "opposition", which is heavily funded and programmed by the same zios who destroyed Libya and Syria.

Some numbers during presidency of Bashar Al Assad until the civil war started (2000-2011)
  • For the overall pre-war, when Assad (son) ruled (2000–2010), the inflation rate averaged less than 5.0% (single digit inflation).
  • Average Real GDP Growth Rate: ~4.5% a year
  • Increase of HDI from 0.591 to 0.644
  • Life Expectancy: Increased from 70.8 years in 2000 to 74.4 years by 2010.
  • Adult Literacy Rate: The total adult literacy rate (ages 15 and older) rose from roughly 80% in 2000 to 84.1% by 2010.
  • Under-5 Mortality Rate: Syria saw a significant improvement here. The mortality rate for children under five dropped from 33 deaths per 1,000 live births in 2000 down to 17.9 deaths per 1,000 live births in 2010.
  • unemployment rate: 8.4%
  • Most important: no civil war, no destruction.
Instead of patiently waiting for the civil society, equality, HDI to grow further, people decided to do a "comprehensive liberation".

Man Iranian stooges are so incensed by their loss that they seem to feel entitled to, that they act like they are the victims in our tragedy lol. Never will you ever understand or acknowledge the oppression and brutality that has been going on since the very beginning of the Assad regime, from his fathers time onwards. The entire regime was a criminal enterprise and used widespread violence and torture and rape as a weapon of choice to maintain an iron fist over the general public, and no amount of your BS will ever gloss over the daily terror the regime had to enforce to keep us repressed just to preserve their cultish brutal rule for over 50 years.

But I imagine your regime will be doing that to your peoples too as they resort to more and more violence to maintain power there. So at least you'll get a taste of what that feels like, maybe you'll enjoy it at home for you and your families.

Emotional rant in reaction to my factual analysis, typical for the region.

If you read my comment again, nowhere did I say Assad was an angel. You should read how Spain, Chile, Portugal, Brazil reformed their systems. But your rigid Manichean black-and-white view, dividing systems into either very bad or very good and believing in Inherited debt/guilt (father to son), leaves no space for compromise, reforms and hope.

An estimated 50% of Syria's total infrastructure has been destroyed or left dysfunctional by the end of the 14-year civil war, according to comprehensive assessments by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Bank.

Again, you don't seem to understand that people's freedom and dignity matters even more than anything else you want to list. If you had generations of brutality and repression by a blanket security state that uses constant terror on you and your family to maintain their rule, which inflicted injustice on millions for decades to preserve their corrupt family iron grip, you'd understand. But since you live thousands of Kms away and it's not your family suffering it, you couldn't care less, and can never relate. The regime never changed or reformed, they just changed the figure head only, from father to son, the rest of it and all it's security apparatus, attitude, ways they maintained rule and governance, all the surrounding personnel and structures, all entirely remained the same.

That's not even going into how badly and poorly they managed the economy and the general lack of opportunity and hope of any real advancement or development, that even less repressed segments of the population were down on their future there and emigrated from the country in droves to seek better lives elsewhere for years prior to the civil war. That's just on top and above of everything else I mentioned that was more basic and essential to us.

And so kind of you to remind us that your regime, allied dictator, and Russia had ruined half the country, they were the only ones with that kind of fire power to do so, and have completely destroyed it before letting go. We're fully aware.
