Is India Heading For A Food Crisis?

It's okay, Indians are used to hunger and can survive without food.

2025, China's grain production is reach 715 million tons. Grain imports amounted to 142 million tons. There are almost no exits. A total of 857 million tons. 2025, India's grain production is 354 million tons. Grain exports amounted to 23 million tons. Almost no imports. A total of 331 million tons.

The populations of the two countries are similar, but China's food consumption is 260% of India's. Indians not only do not feel hungry, but they can even export food. So I think Indians can survive without food.
Not to mention Chinese eat a lot of meat and Indians are mostly veg diet too

They no longer export cheap stuff, you know that
The only reason we import Chinese fertilizer is they are cheaper. Why else would we import from China? The main advantage of them is they can provide what we want at lower rate than the rest of the world. It has been the case back in the day, it's the case even now.

There is a saying in China called '蛋白脸和碳水脸 protein face and carbohydrates face'. Actually, it's easy to tell from your face whether you eat meat or are a vegetarian.

A great famine is coming to India which will wipe out tens of millions of people while India will continue to export grains to other countries.

Fertilizers from Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Russia are all cheaper than fertilizers from China. The Chinese government only approves 3.3 million tons of fertilizer exports annually, so the price is not cheap.

The reason why Indians like to buy Chinese fertilizers is that China can deliver quickly, and shipping from China to India only takes 7 days. This speed can perfectly connect with India's monsoon seeding window. Even the recent Middle East requires a delivery time of 20 to 45 days.

Of course, some smarter Indians may ask why they don't order fertilizers from Russia or the Middle East 45 days in advance. Due to India's weak infrastructure and limited storage capacity. This warehouse will be used for cheap Russian fertilizers, while other gaps can only be filled with Chinese fertilizers.

If China didn't we will look elsewhere. There is nothing unique about you other than cheap exports. You people need to stop believing you're doing anyone any favours by exporting something. More often I see Chinese brag about this export of some products as if they are unique. Any restrictions in exports, Chinese lose their market share around the world, once you become unreliable you will not gain that market back. It'll permanently be diverted elsewhere.
But saar! India big pharma is also very special, no?

If anyone has ever actually eaten authentic Indian food, not the very reasonable Bangladeshi stuff masquerading as "Indian" available in the west, then one would realise the true depth of the crisis.

What you just said reminds me of something very "strange."

On July 7 of this year, the official Weibo account of the Embassy of Pakistan in China posted a news item. Link.

This is a very ordinary piece of news.

However, the Chinese text above the main entrance of this restaurant reads "印巴阿拉伯餐厅". Translated into English, it is “Indian-Pakistani-Arab Restaurant.”

Do you know what this means?

BTW.
July 7th. This is a very significant date in China. Anyone with even a basic understanding of Chinese culture and history would avoid choosing this particular day.

On July 7, 1937, Japan launched the Lugou Bridge Incident (Marco Polo Bridge Incident), marking the formal, full-scale commencement of its war of aggression against China.

In modern-day China, this date is an official day of commemoration. In some major Chinese cities, air raid sirens will sound on this day to commemorate the occasion. Non-essential entertainment activities will be suspended in some cities for the day.
