Kabul: Anti-Taliban resistance groups have reported an increase in attacks against the Taliban regime, claiming to have carried out 10 operations across seven Afghan provinces over five days, leaving at least 13 Taliban personnel dead and six others injured.

According to reports from different parts of Afghanistan and statements issued by the resistance groups, the operations also resulted in the destruction of several military vehicles and the seizure of weapons. These casualty figures and operational claims could not be independently verified.

On October 18, the Afghanistan United Front (AUF), led by General Sami Sadat, targeted a Taliban member in Helmand, killing one, according to the group. The following day, AUF claimed responsibility for killing another Taliban member in Arghandab district of Kandahar.

On October 21, AUF attacked a Taliban police officer in Kamdushak village, Qarabagh district of Ghazni, killing him and seizing his Kalashnikov rifle, according to the group. On October 22, the front reported four further operations in Helmand, including Lashkargah, and Kapisa, claiming to have killed five Taliban personnel and destroyed a Ranger vehicle. The group primarily operates in southern and central Afghanistan.

The Afghan Green Trend, led by former Afghan vice president Amrullah Saleh, reported targeting a military vehicle belonging to the Taliban's 219th Brigade on the Kashm–Faizabad highway in Badakhshan on October 21, claiming that the vehicle was destroyed.

Meanwhile, the Afghan Freedom Front (AFF), led by General Yaseen Zia and active mainly in northern and northeastern Afghanistan, reported attacking a Taliban checkpoint in Parwan on October 20, killing three personnel and injuring two. On October 21, the group targeted a Taliban intelligence unit in Takhar, claiming to have killed one operative, injured three others, including an officer, and destroyed a vehicle.

The National Independence Front (NIF), led by General Saleh Registani, reported targeting a Taliban Ranger vehicle in Herat on October 19. On October 21, the group claimed to have ambushed Taliban personnel in Nangarhar, killing two and critically injuring one.
