Everyone is getting Flankers except us. And morons here say the Orcs are a much better ally.

Maybe the airbases, hardened shelters/under mountain bases, infrastructure, pilots are not ready yet?

I would hate for them to be bought and then blown up on the ground within a few months

Honestly realistically what’s a couple dozen aircraft even if delivered tomorrow is going to do against anyone man Saudi Air Force might not be the most competent air force but they have hundreds of aircraft and even if Iranians were ace fliers with aircraft maybe they takeout several for every aircraft they lose the numbers wouldn’t be in their favor

Here's a brief reminder of Pakistani history for all and sundry visitors to this thread.

USA, Japan, most of Eurozone, IMF all sanctioned Pakistan in 1998 following our nuclear tests. WHATEVER FLOWS OR FLOWED IN AND OUT OF AFG/IRAN WAS DWARFED BY OUR TRADE WITH USA, even in late 90s prior to nuclear tests.

Of course, and interestingly enough, our tests were greeted positively in 1998 by Afg, Iran, KSA, China and other "global south" nations but trade with such nations was far smaller than with USA and Europe (and, barring China, that still is the case) - those were different times when all our interests aligned better.
Ok thanks for this information.

Why am I telling you this?

It is relevant on a thread like this and in response to comments like yours, to highlight the sacrifices needed by nations like yours and mine in the interests of national security.

Not KSA, not USA, not Iran, not Talibs, not anyone comes ahead of our sovereignty. Decisions we make are made with our interests in mind, not anyone else's. If others benefit from our decisions, it is happenstance, and all the better for all parties. But if we need to sacrifice even our biggest trade partner for our security, it will happen in a flash.
So which countries don't behave like Pakistan in this regard? You make it sound like Pakistan is the only country that has its strategy interests in focus and purses them with determination- many countries do so too, at least from an intent perspective.
"We (Pakistan) will eat grass, even go hungry, but we will get one of our own (atom bomb). We have no other choice!"
Iran will do the same, for its core values and goals, but probably not for an atom bomb.
@Meengla (tagging you sir as you know better than I do of aforementioned sacrifices)
Other countries make sacrifices too, look at Iran under economic sanctions for almost 5 decades ,shadow wars and coup, separatist (and breakup plots from internal unrest plans) threats against it by the West. You're making Pakistan look like it's the only country making sacrifices for its independence, goals and future - many countries have done the same too!

Also, if Pakistan won't allow Iranian imports into the country through overland routes, then Iran can send export those goods to Pakistan through Afghanistan, which will be a win for Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

If Pakistan doesn't accept imports via land routes from India, Iran or Afghanistan, then Pakistan will enter a deep economic crisis, caused by itself, because expensive foreign imports ,which it can't afford(and def not sustainably) ,like LNG from US, is it's only option.

And we all know how stable Taliban Governance is. Iranian officials said the land borders cant replace ports! Land routes my friend that’s not gonna help! Irans population is 90 +million! Why Pakistani 2 Ports were so important for Iran to Bypass Blockade. Pakistan did very well helping Iran out as a neighbour for over year prolonging the US And western pressure on it People should not act suprised USA and west would eventually put pressure on Pakistanis and others who are trying to help Iran to stop it. A little thanks would be appreciated. Pakistan was being accused of prolonging the conflict. Even if Pakistan had said no the obvious next targets is all roads in Iran leading to Pakistan.

Even TWZ has a write-up about it.

They are getting the S-400 as well.
S400 is not the game changer you think it is. Part of the reason why people don't sell Iran weapons is because we have this tendency to reverse engineer everything we come across.

Iran is no different than anyone else.

But, you are correct. That is part of the reason.

…….nnnnnaa not going to happen you open Pandora’s box you won’t be able to close it ever again

think about it, just in case.

nuclear war to iran, and nuclear escalation to russia, with or without planned intention.

all is possible, although it's not likely.

the reason is easy, reaching peak oil and peak every raw material, it's a big reason for a big nuclear war, that it didnt happen in cold war.

besides the miniaturization of sensors and computers in anti-icbm systems never happened in 20th century, only now some actors (usa) can think they could stop a nuclear retaliation.

In January 2012 Russia announced stop of plans to sell S300 to Iran few days after meeting of Putin and his personal friend Kissinger (in the middle of another hormuz tensioons back then).

So part of the reason is Russia submission to USA due to economic interests.

Like Venezuela operation started only few days after of Putin and Trump Alaska summit, sending warships near to Venezuela.

Iran doesn't need any weapon system from any country except for a fighter aircraft.

Iranian defense industry produces most weapons at home and many more types are in design stage.

Why spend limited hard currency reserves buying weapons from abroad when you can produce them at home with rials and much cheaper.

If Iran buys some weapon types from abroad - it does so only for reverse engineering purposes and for comparison with local models.
