Ex Navy SEAL Who Killed Osama Bin Laden On The Raid & Fear | Robert J. O’Neill | FO579 Raj Shamani

OBL was half Yemeni (Hadhrami father who was born in Yemen) and half Syrian (Nusayri - his mother is from Latakia and still alive).

He was stripped of his Saudi Arabian citizenship as far back as 1994. Before Al-Qaeda ever managed to commit a single terror attack.

Same KSA government warned Western and non-Western governments from hosting him and openly said that he was a troublemaker.

If we believe the official narrative of 9/11, then 15 of the Saudi Arabian hijackers, almost all of them had Yemeni origins as well. Specifically handpicked by OBL to create a wedge between KSA and USA. Of course this failed.

On the other hand almost every other member of the now large (if not huge) bin Laden family married with locals. Very succesful, wealthy and respected family in KSA. I have met several members of theirs due to mutual family acquaintances.

The immediate Bin Landen family (OBL is on the photo as well) in Sweden in 1971.

Hardly some religiously strict family as one can see.

OBL's first wife was a Syrian (related to his own mother - most sources claim that both his mother and later Syrian wife were Nusayris). His last wife (eves) were all Yemeni as well. He came to identify with Yemen more than any other country as well later in his life.

A dubious character to put it mildly.

The mujahideen in Afghanistan were morally and religiously not in the wrong (they were aiding local Muslims against an evil oppressor, occupier and aggressor - USSR), later he did some good humanitarian work in Sudan (even Western media reported it as such)

but somewhere down the line he became corrupted and began employing non-Muslim practices.

However neither Al-Qaeda nor OBL invented suicide bombings or terrorism (obvious thing). The first suicide bombings in history in a Muslim context were used by Shia groups like Hezbollah. They were also used by Christian and non-Muslim Palestinians.

And before that the Japanese Kamikaze pilots used a similar tactic long before any Muslims did.

As for the death of OBL, I always found it suspicious even more the location of his for those many years (in Rawalpindi next to one of the largest Pakistani military bases). Clearly someone within the Pakistani state apparatus protected him or looked the other way round. Or just a very strange coincidence. That is if this whole "official story" is even true to begin with.

On the other hand/as a side note, one of OBL's sons (Omar) seems like a great guy.

Wonderful and very long interview he did about his life and family and experiences.

i am curious as to how Yemeni or Syrian can end up with Saudi citizenships and then those taken away.....because i haven't heard of KSA giving out its citizenship to foreigners..........

has KSA ever given citizenship to any foreigners?

KSA has given citizenship to non-nationals for decades and before WW2 it was very common which is why you can find ethnic Muslim communities from the entire world (from Bosnian and Albanian Muslims to Uzbek and Uyghur Muslims (Often called Al-Samarqandi, Al-Bukhari, Al-Kashgari etc.), to African Muslims (Hawsawi = Hausa people from Northern Nigeria), to South East Asians to everyone in between, who are Saudi Arabia citizens today.

1400 years of Hajj and Umrah, settlement, several enormous Arab caliphates, empires, Arabs controlling the main sea trade and trade routes for most of the Muslim era and long before etc. it is normal that intermixing and settlement occurred.

Many economic migrants from neighboring countries and regions (Arab and non-Arab) also migrated to KSA and the GCC.

Just look at the large Iranian (mostly Iranian Arab, Sunni Persians and Baloch people) who migrated to the GCC and now are citizens for many generations.

Same with Pakistanis and South Asians of every ethnicity. You can gather their origin from their Arabic surnames that they adopted. Al-Sindhi, Al-Hindi etc.

Not long ago there was an entire neighborhood of illegal (mostly) Rohingya Muslims outside of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, not far from it, that until it was raised recently.

Citizenship was given more rarely since the 1960's but nowadays it is possible (more than before - meaning post-1960's) and you can google it yourself for more information.

OBL's father was a very succesful businessman who founded on the the world's largest engineering companies who still have many projects within KSA and outside of it.

You can read up on this here:

Also KSA is full of illegal migrants from all corners of the world. Each week the state deports 10.000's of illegals but there are many more that enter.

KSA is the size of Western Europe with often porous borders (in the South in particular) and many conflict zones nearby.

This topic requires an entire thread but we are off-topic here, so ending it here.

The bin Laden name was well-advertised during my tour in Bahrain many years ago.

Osama himself was a civil engineer through education.

Didn’t Pakistani Pm Benzair Bhutto. Bin Ladan died years ago of Kidney Disease. Id take it a pinch of salt what late General Mushraf role was. The poor guy was always wanting a validation from America for his military rule.

Benazir was in self exile when for years when she made that statement Bin Laden and it was not Musharraf who was the President of Pakistan when Bin Laden was killed--it was Benazir's husband Asif Ali Zardari who was the President then. Musharraf, IIRC, was himself in exile by then. I believe Benazir could not have known about Bin Laden's whereabouts and her statement claiming Bin Laden dead was some attention seeking words. She could not have known.
Yet, isn't it a bit odd that Pak AD systems in that sector along the routes the choppers would fly were purportedly turned off at the time? Or that no Pak officials showed up at the compound until after the Team departed? I could go on with a few more things that should make you go "hmmmmmm".

Firstly, nobody officially was 'harboring' Bin Laden. Pakistan is a very conservative society where large houses, with tall walls and strict privacy is observed. Rumsfeld himself came to Pakistan's defense after the Bin Laden raid and said something like 'When one Pakistani official would know then the next one would know. You can't keep such information private. We don't know within a few miles of Pentagon who is living here secretly'. Note: Rumsfeld had no reason to defend Pakistan then: He was out of power as the Sec. of Defense and it was Obama Presidency.

As to the quoted part, I don't know what happened. But I will say this: Pakistan was literally in the middle of the worst wave of terrorism when the Bin Laden raid happened and even the sitting military Generals were targeted public places. It was chaotic and probably Pakistan's Air Defense systems were not as good then as now. So a surprise in and out in the middle of the night was possible. But we can't rule out the Pakistani military had collaborated with utmost secrecy to allow the attack; the whereabouts of Bin Laden were found due to Pakistan's intelligence gathering efforts, at least initially.
Indian will obviously try to spin it their way, who knows how much they paid this guy for all this, in their desperate attempts to search for anything to undermine and malign Pakistan and its armed forces.

Can't blame the Indians for exploiting Pakistan's worst PR nightmare. Blame those Pakistanis who didn't latch onto Obama, Rumsfeld and Condoleeza Rice statements giving credit to Pakistan. Pakistanis instead went into conspiracy theories--which even if some basis in reality--were meaningless vs taking credit for nabbing the Hitler Reincarnate personlity.

I remembered reading an article discussing Bin Laden. He had serious health issues starting in the late 1990's with his kidneys and had to have dialysis. Osama Bin Laden died of renal (kidney) failure in December 2001 according to many reports , i also read his obituary was in the back pages of The New York Times. Which I came across at.an office building reception area meeting a client … LOL Before he was supposedly shot dead by Americans in Pakistan.

Before they "dumped his body in the ocean" sounds like the perfect excuse for conspiracy!! It’s not only us Pakistanis who have such thoughts.

Unfortunately it absolutely was at the time Almost nobody at my work were mostly white colleagues or my friends believed that shit pardon my language when we heard about it on the news in 2011.

According to some Russian analysts, the American public was conditioned to view Osama bin Laden (OBL) as an almost omnipresent monster, while the broader war on terror was reinforced through a climate of fear and heightened security alerts. The U.S. Homeland Security Advisory System, introduced under George W. Bush, used five color-coded threat levels: green, blue, yellow, orange, and red.

The Obama administration inherited this narrative and, critics argue, continued to benefit politically from the image of OBL
(بھاؤ ا جائے گا) as America’s ultimate enemy.
Then comes the controversial theory, that, after nearly a decade, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani floating the idea to Obama administration to bring the OBL chapter to a close, culminating the fake raid in Abbottabad with the support of ISI. This drama was created to give a closure to American public. According to some analysts this information was leaked by General’s driver. some people claim that OBL died in 2003 and some said that he died even before 2003. Also it doesn’t make sense that dead OBL was hiding in Abbottabad next to major military garrison. 🤣

Bin Laden was pretty healthy when 9/11 happened. I doubt he died of a renal failure just 2-3 months later. Ayman Zawahari, who was the second in command to Bin Laden, mourned his death after the 2011 raid, along with Bin Laden's diehard supporters. Whether Bin Laden died in that attack or not, I am not sure but he had died then or some years before that. I don't know. In case of Pakistan, there were only a minuscule % of the population who mourned him but unfortunately their public Funeral Prayers were magnified globally as 'Pakistan' mourning Bin Laden.

The dumbness of Pakistanis to use Obama's giving credit to Pakistan for nabbing Bin Laden and thus giving the narrative advantage to the Indians--who bring up 'Pakistan sheltered Bin Laden'--is amazing. And it was not just Obama: John Kerry and Hillary Clinton at least didn't point fingers at Pakistan. Then there were the Condoleeza Rice and Donald Rumsfeld--who were from the Bush Jr. administration--coming to support Pakistan.

Lately, Pakistanis, even the officials, condemn Bin Laden but they should have used the Obama statement giving credit to Pakistan as a narrative to counter the Indians right there and forcefully so.

The Moon Landing, Elvis Alive, JFK Assassination, Covid Vaccine and much more. Americans are not immune to theories, conspiracy or not.

There is a major military installation almost touching distance from my family house in Karachi; that installation is not very old. I'd say 15-20 years. My family house has been there since at least 40 years. We have tall walls. I bet the security people there don't how many live in our house, who comes and goes just as my family doesn't know who exactly lives in the houses next to ours and a few houses apart from ours. And mind you: That's Karachi! The most liberal city in Pakistan; hardly anyone wears a Burqah in my neighborhood. Now imagine Pakistan's north, which is very conservative in general in contrast.
Hiding in Abbottabad would be perfectly like 'Hiding in Plain Sight' given the nature of everyday living htere.
