JF-17 - Updates, News & Discussion

Block 3 Haiders patrolling above Karachi at night.. Notice the wide angle HUD, digital UFCP and digital AH display to the right before warning lights panel.

Seems like the Azeri AF are enjoying their block 3s. PAF barely released a single video of it's induction in the first year now we already have 3-4 videos featuring Azeri block 3s.

Honestly, we made a huge mistake selling JF-17 to Azerbaijan and some bad customers.

Azerbaijan is not a good country and completely against our brother Turkey, they re-aligned itself with Israel and the UAE.

You need to look at this problem from a different perspective.

If—and I mean *if*—India were to proactively seek to purchase 300 JF-17B3 aircraft, do you think China and Pakistan would agree to the sale? ------ I don’t know what Pakistan’s decision would be. However, if India were to take the initiative to purchase 300 J-10CE fighter jets from China, I believe CATIC would agree. Of course, India would need to pay the full amount upfront!

In reality, such a scenario is almost impossible. This example is intended merely to illustrate a particular line of reasoning. Furthermore, although India has experienced many points of friction with China in recent years, its volume of orders for goods from China has not decreased—on the contrary, it has actually increased.

Would you prefer your "enemy" to be wielding a weapon you are more familiar with, or one that is unfamiliar to you?

Lets see - we can of course cut off the supply of spare parts of the platform itself if is compromised via aerial exercises of the JF17 with either Israel, or India.

Do note - Azerbaijan will have some end user agreements that it needs to adhere to if they want continued support of the platform as those jets will be maintained in Pakistan( I have not heard of any MRO facilities being setup in Azerbaijan ) and Pakistan was/is aware of Azerbaijan's relationship with Israel at the time of sale.

The nature of the change of relationship towards Türkiye and India is concerning though.

Before even talks begin there has to be peace agreement between three nations.
