US 2026 Midterm Elections Thread

Given Trump’s personality, he won’t go down without a fight.

Well, what kind of wild moves might he pull in the time he has left?

Let’s wait and see!
As a lame duck, he will come out as a bisexual and rejoin the Democratic party to avoid criminal charges. 🥳

He'll endorse Hunter Biden for '28.

Interesting shift from 2024. In all cases, Republicans lost the ground.
1- ICE roundup of Hispanics didn't help.
2- Young voters wanting jobs, no wars
3- White non-college: 'It is the economy, stupid'
4- Deluded Black Men of 2024 correcting course.
5- 'Muslims for Trump' of 2024, though not included here, may have realized the photo ops with Trump over the Gaza war in 2024 were a stupid, deluded wish.

How many of them voted against their own interests in 2024?! But, as the saying goes, 'You can't fool all the people, all the time' and here we are.

Depends on who the Dems run. Another Kamala type running on far left woke DEI initiatives will get beat by Rubio.
Nobody cares about DEI when there are like 16 different self-inflicted injuries we had in the last 2 years. I, for one, gladly go back to DEI if that means lower gas prices and lower grocery prices, and more job opportunities.

You still don't get why the GOP lost this election "bigly" (Quoting Trump here); it's because they had the wrong priority; that's why almost everyone here gets kicked to the curb.

Even non-MAGA-aligned senators like Hinson and Collins were losing in this race; Rubio is not going to win with the MAGA-aligned value. If Rubio wants to be president, he should not be running in 2028, because this is a lost cause for anyone MAGA.

Good progress for America to accept different people in offices!

Good business for both Canada and USA - welcome back? 🤝

If Dems run on DEI, open borders, socialism etc they’ll get beat. Midterms were a rebuke of Trump chaos, not an endorsement of far left policies. Dem overreach ends in 28 loss. Got to have a Dem moderate focused on the economy and offer more than not being Trump.

If it was Rubio or Vance before this war I would have picked Vance all day long the same thing that happened to Kamala with Biden is the same that will happen to Vance even if he’s the better of the 2 options but no one likes Rubio unless Fox can make him into a rockstar in a year

You must have missed Rubios Greece speech. He can pull Dems and Independents if you’re running AOC types. Vance is dead on arrival

Again, the 26 result is because of the wrong priority.

Most people don't care about DEI or Social policy unless it costs them money, and it's the reason why we had the result today, because the price is too damn high. The top 3 reasons to vote in an exit poll for yesterday mid-term is

1.) Economy
2.)Democracy
3.) Immigration

This has nothing to do with anything else other than these 3 factors.

As I said, nobody cares about how many genders there are if they can't put food on the table, and all this critical race theory, changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico, the Department of Defence,, the reflection pool cannot put money in someone's pocket (unless you are talking about a billionaire) or a roof over their head; that is the reason why Trump had his stuff shoved into his behind yesterday.

It really is this simple; in fact, I will argue that DEI or whatever Social policy is not a problem people care to begin with. Dem lost in 24 because they didn't focus enough to recover from COVID; instead of focusing on the social agenda, and that was being raised as a point to score vote by Trump.

I agree on Vance unless something big changes next couple of years but Rubio just another white guy(I know he’s Cuban) who needs to be put to rest I need flavor Rubio is going to have to face those same tough questions when or if he runs for office currently everyone in the White House is toxic to the public
