Egyptian Armed Forces

Yeah bro, this is fascinating stuff, man. We went from the prospect of having some "trainer" of some sorts as a JV/ToT in Egypt to the possibility of maybe the JF-17 or the LCA Tejas and then it appeared to be the KAI T-50 and now it looks like a strong possibility of the Rafale being assembled in Egypt how crazy is that set of developments?!

On top of all that there is this impending Eurofighter Typhoon deal that all of a sudden, out of the blue has been attached to an F-15 (either S or EX or Strike Eagle) that ultimately killed any possibility of the Su-35S coming to Egypt. In between all that we witnessed 46 MiG-29M/M2 slide into its spot and take a critical place in the EAF with the ultimate prospect of additional MiG-35s coming as well. Then add all the in-between deals we've been hearing about such as the pair of Airbus A330 MRTT air refuelers and some military sattellite lol. Accompanied by a pair of Bergamini FREMM frigates that could ultimately end up being 4 or even 6 ships. All this sparked from supposedly a 2nd order of 30 Rafales that had the promise of the Meteor A2A missile being a contingent part of the deal which winded up with the inception of the EFT + F-15 Eagle deal which we might be seeing very soon.

I'd say all this is pretty damn nuts!

1) 46 MiG-29M/M2
2) 24 Rafales + SCALP EG CMs
3) 30 Rafales +Meteors additional order
4) 1 Charles De Gaul AC with 22 Rafale Ms
5) 2 Airbus A330 MRTT Tankers
6) 24 Eurofighter Typhoons
7) 20-24 F-15 Eagles
8) KAI T-50 Golden Eagle JV/ToT
9) Rafale assembly depot in Egypt
10) A trip to the psych ward for mental insanity evaluation! :D

And I didn't even include all the in-between prospect deals for other types of equipment such as the Scorpene subs etc.!

We can see that France is ready to transfer a lot of High Tech to Egypt up to some Rafale parts manufacture and assembly of the fighter aircraft in the very near future ( by 2030 or sooner..)..

But no Scorpene or Short-fin Barracuda yet!?
I guess those are even more game changing than the Rafale or at least at the same level..

Annnnd those famous highly sophisticated satellites from France and Italy..with ToT..

Just before 10)

Crazy stuff, SC bro. lol

Rare pic of one of only 4 EAF VIP sand-colored Blackhawks. Considering how helicopters of all types make up a huge part of the Egyptian army air corps, I'm surprised they haven't ordered more of these bad boys considering how they're amazing machines and would fit well within the needs of the Egyptian military, especially when they're designated as VIP transport.

Notice what I mentioned before about the rear directional rotor? No scissors blade pattern for these Blackhawks.

And of course wouldn't be complete without the rear end! Which you don't see too often showing the large door to stow away whatever helicopter attached with the ship from inclement weather and rough seas during long trips & times of war.

What happened with USS CARR (FFG-52) and USS ELROD (FFG 55)

Well, if they're free then why not. I wouldn't pay anything for them considering their age and that the EN is in the process of "modernizing" despite the cost of new frigates is ridiculously expensive. That makes the lure of these older frigates more enticing, especially in peacetime.

Hey, as long as they close out the Bergamini deal for the 6 FREMMs and 20 Falaj OPVs and the 6 A200 MEKOs, then adding to the current single OHP class makes all the sense.

I forgot about that! Yes, you're right now that you mentioned it that was also on the list of goodies. Mmmm.......and that would be an excellent acquisition as it's an important element for naval power that the EN could use.

Like the Meko-200, the Berghamini and the Falaj will be made in Egypt with ToT..and that will inevitably take some time to set up their production lines..

Will the Egyptian rafales be provided with bvr capability?

Indeed. A lot of ambitious projects to look forward to. For me, the big one is the EFTs since that could get closed anytime within the next few months and we might see deliveries by the end of the year. Then watch them coincide with the start of the 30 additional Rafales, too. On top of that, we'll get some closure on the Meteor one way or the other.

More random pics.

These are the famous EGY Navy Special Forces who's well-known training was so brutal that it unfortunately resulted in several cadets' deaths where they had to make serious changes to prevent that from happening again and they did. The qualifications are still extremely difficult but adjusted to prevent unwanted accidents and you can tell by these guys' demeanor and facial expressions that it's no joke and neither are they! They're tasked with very difficult missions and have interesting equipment, from helmets/masks to protective gear etc.

lol. Any money left? lmao. They still have to fork out at least $1.3 Billion for the additional 2 Bergamini and double that if they want to get 4 to make a total of 6! Plus they still have to pay for the MEKOs I mean what in ze hellllll?!?! :D Wow.
