Moreover, Turkey has always played very very smart. Erdogan makes the right noises but always does what is best for themselves. Just like the current Indian government. I admire that.

You know how many negative comments he has made against Israel but what is the trade volume between them? Unlike many other countries who make a claim to drop a nuclear device on Israel every other day. That is real politik. Bravo Turkey.

Its important that India thinks of itself as a 1+ billion population entity.

It should not get into "eye for an eye" with any <100 million population country to begin with, its very off-putting and counter-productive and time and resource wasting in the end.

But India suffers from fact that maybe this is also size of population in India that has "made it" and have (among them, those with extra time/narrative to launder in first place) their various insularity, vice and proclivity when it comes to ego-formed voids from reality, impatience, scapegoating and all the rest.

This is why you see the media, politics, sociology and everything else among the relative top echelons in the state that they are in.

Much smaller population countries get away with things, and other things they dont get away with like India does. Its very complex but simple once you get it.

A country is shitting on your core interest, and we are here justifying it. I mean sometimes I wonder, if that is the mentality of a country that aspire to become a great power, then we dont deserve it. A country is shitting on your core interest

Does that country have capability to affect our core interest, no matter how much noise it is making. Doesn’t Turkey fall in that category.
We need to ignore them and do what we want to. By engaging with an unworthy adversary, we end up giving them a bigger stature than that they have or deserve to have.

What it achieved by doing that?

It is not what they have achieved but what they are trying to. They are trying to achieve a status ion the world stage. Of a nation that makes noises about things happening far and wide specifically to Muslim world. Paksiatn under Imran almost fell for it while the majority Muslim world ignores tham because they don’t have the muscle or economic power. They can play a role in the immediate neighbourhood. That’s it.

Turkish ban of exports to Israel is a recent development, after the recent turmoil in Gaza. What happening till today? It had full fledged economic relations with them till now, while it made the right noises for consumption by Muslim audience. That was real politik. I admire that in a country, however inconsequential to us. I would do that to even Paksiatn. India has displayed that in ample in the recent past. That’s game well played.

Bottom line- I don’t care of what Tureky says about us. It is a no one in this region and should be treated as such by ignoring them.

India is strengthening its relations with countries with which Turkey is in conflict.​

The prospect of strengthening Greece's arsenal with BrahMos supersonic missiles creates a complex diplomatic and defence dynamic that affects the relations between New Delhi and Ankara. Turkey is undoubtedly noticing Greece's search for more effective defence systems.

The proposal for Greece to acquire Indian hypersonic missiles will likely worsen the relations between Ankara and New Delhi, the newspaper Aydınlık claimed.

The Turkish newspaper recalls that in recent years, India has increased arms shipments to Armenia, while at the same time, Turkey is the most important military supporter of Azerbaijan. Turkey also maintains close military relations with Pakistan, which uses Turkish-made drones.

According to Defense Security Asia (DSA), New Delhi is not at all happy with this situation.

Turkey's nationalist media sees India as devising its own reorientation strategy, turning to Armenia and Greece and alienating Turkey from its trade and military plans.

The Indian government's recent move to sanction contracts with Turkish companies involved in shipbuilding projects is the latest episode in a series of diplomatic moves that underscore New Delhi's growing desire to reach out to other countries in the wider region amid tensions with Turkey and Pakistan.
