First thing I'm not underestimating anybody..Turkey is food independent
Everyone only sees the high amounts of grain imports. It is not seen that Turkey is the world's largest exporter of flour and one of the largest exporters of pasta and baked goods. The high tonnages of grain imports are raw materials for goods that are exported.
Export 2023 -5.4 million tonnes of flour, 1,5 million tonnes pasta,2,2 million tonnes baked goods....etc
https://www.world-grain.com/articles/18796-turkish-flour-exports-projected-to-set-recordhttps://www.reuters.com/markets/com...rkey-its-durum-wheat-flows-abroad-2024-03-28/
Turkey had a GDP of over $1 trillion in 2023.
Adjusted at PPP, that was $3.8 trillion.

Since everything can be done domestically, the money stays domestically. The Turkish state is also the owner of the largest weapons manufacturer, so it gets everything at the manufacturing price.

As you can see, Turkey should not be underestimated.
Better go and worry about tiny Greece
Turkiye has dozens of game changer weapons from Ballistic Missiles to Cruise Missiles from long range Guided munitions to Kamikaze Drones to destroy Greek Fighter Jets , Air Bases , Jet Hangars , Air Defense Systems and Greek Warships in a day
including cost effective IHA-230 supersonic Missile to hit Greek PATRIOT AD Systems
BRAHMOS Missile is so expensive ..... but IHA-230 Missile is cost effective

Greece is nothing without USA-France protection ....and never can match with Turkiye one on one
Greeks should stop dreaming and return the real world
Before you talk about the Turkish economy you have to know and understand the Turks.
Short introduction to Turkish culture and tradition
Turks are a proud and nationalistic people.
Faith and nationalism are the cornerstone of their existence.
Faith teach them:
Islam says, soldiers who die in war for God and faith are martyrs.
And martyrs are promised entry into paradise.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahid
Nationalism teach them:
(Your right to live is as much as your strength to fight.)
As already mentioned, Turks are raised to be nationalistic from an early age. The Turkish national anthem written by Mehmet Akif Ersoy"Albanian" is a reflection of their personality.
Fear not, the crimson flag, waving in these dawns will never fade
Before the last hearth that is burning in my nation vanishes.
That is my nation’s star, it will shine;
That is mine, it belongs solely to my nation.
Oh coy crescent-(Turkish Flag), do not frown for I am ready to sacrifice myself for you!
Please smile upon my heroic nation, why that anger, why that rage?
If you frown, our blood shed for you will not be worthy.
Freedom is the right of my nation who worships God and seeks what is right.
I have been free since eternity, and free shall I be.
What fool dares to shackle me? I defy the temerity!
I am like a roaring flood; I overflow trampling down my banks,
I tear apart mountains, surge into depths, and surpass.
Western horizons may be encircled by walls armored in steel
But I have my chest brimful of faith as my homeland’s frontier.
Let it howl, fear not! How can it smother such solid faith
That single-fanged monster, “Civilization!” as you call it?
My friend! Never ever let the dastards into my land!
Render your body a shield; bring this heinous raid to an end.
For soon shall break the blissful days God promised, for sure;
Perhaps tomorrow, who knows, perhaps even sooner than that.
Do not assume what you tread on is mere “earth”, recognize it!
Think of the thousands, without shrouds, lying beneath.
You’re the son of a martyr, take shame, hurt not your ancestor;
Cede not this heavenly homeland, even if it’s the worlds you’re granted.
Who would not offer his life for this homeland of paradise?
Martyrs would pour forth, all martyrs, should one simply clutch the earth!
If God will, He may take my life, my beloved, and my wealth,
But may He not, for the world, just deprive me of my homeland.
The sole wish of my soul, oh glorious God, from You is that,
No heathen would ever, on the bosom of my temple, lay hand!
These calls to prayer, whose testimonies are the ground of religion,
Should resound far and wide over my eternal homeland.
Then, my tombstone, if any, prostrates in rapture a thousand-fold,
Of my every wound, oh glorious God, tears of blood gush forth,
And out spurts my corpse, in pure spirit, from the ground,
Perhaps then, shall ascend and to the heavens touch my crown!
So ripple and wave, like dawning skies, oh glorious crescent-(Turkish Flag),
So that every drop of my blood finally be blessed and worthy!
Neither you nor my race shall ever be annihilated,
For my flag, who has lived ever freely, has the right to liberty;
For my nation, who worships God, has the right to independence!
In Short:
The fight and death for faith and homeland Gives;
The family honor, pride, recognition.
And paradise for the Soldier.
Anyone who sends their children to the army to celebrate is also prepared to give up everything for faith and nation.
Now to the economy:
About 40% of Turkish foreign trade is with EU countries.
In a Tr-Gr conflict, Turkey would be subject to an EU trade bargo.
Trade with the EU would shrink dramatically.
The tourism sector would suffer extreme losses.
The Turkish economy would suffer but not collapse.
An embargo would be the only help Greece would receive from the EU.
It depends on the US position. We are both NATO members, we don't know whose side the US will take. Erdogan's image is so bad, they oppose even Turkey's just demands.Any chance Erdogan would want to go to war
Why risk break with Europeans on trade ?It depends on the US position. We are both NATO members, we don't know whose side the US will take. Erdogan's image is so bad, they oppose even Turkey's just demands.
The embargo does not matter as long as we win the war. There was an embargo after the Cyprus peace operation, but 38 percent of Cyprus is now ours.Why risk break with Europeans on trade ?
And your down playing it buddyYou severely overestimate India's importance on the global stage.
You are right but only partially.First thing I'm not underestimating anybody..
When you have 70% Inflation the growth rate automatically goes up.. if goods prices are increased it is also getting calculated in increase in GDP even if production remained same as before. You have 70% Inflation you have had high inflation for quite a long time... Recently you guys took loan from Saudi Arabia Qatar UAE.. tells alot about economy..
70% inflation destroys savings and purchasing power of people.. it just too much bruh.. usually a developing country should have it at 7% according to imf for developed countries I believe at 5%..
That is one of the reason why lira is falling so low..
Another thing real inflation is alot more atleast I have heard it's is basic commodities cost 4x more what they used to cost 3-4 yrs ago. Erdogan has also changed inflation basket. It's formula to measure inflation..
Even if you say forces gets weapon at cheap as no profits are involved let me tell this is right but not for all like the Italy makes latest var. Of A129 for 22 million dollars. Turkey is making it for 50million dollars.
How is that cheap. It's more expensive than basic Apache, viper, ka52..
So this is no true if government is making weapons all weapons will be cheap for that you need mass production like Russia. They also have everything gov. Owned..
Anyways let peace prevail. War brings misery.
Both countries are in economic turmoil..

Erdogan also needs reasons to start a war.Any chance Erdogan would want to go to war
Greece is not interested in BrahMos.You have discussed this useless issue for pages and pages. Greece has no chance of getting brahmos.
f35Greece is not interested in BrahMos.
What we want is JASSM from the Americans.
I think we also want it for the F-16V if I'm not mistaken. Basically,we need modern BVRs for the F-1Vs as well as other stuff like HARM,Harpoon and the AIM-120C8 (I think).f35jassm—ER?That will be a powerful combination。I personally cannot see the necessity of the Brahmos possessed by Greece. It is only a separate Indian weapon platform, and considering compatibility, it is best for anti-ship cruise missiles to be used on multiple platforms within the Greek weapon system. Jassm is undoubtedly very suitable。The US State Department has approved the sale of the Extended Range Joint Defense Area Space to Ground Cruise Missile (JASSM-ER) and related equipment to Japan
This number sounds highly exaggerated. Just because India can make Brahmos, doesn’t mean that we keep producing them in unlimited numbers.If we had 10000 Brahmos
