Definitely some goodies on display. A bunch of M109s, M270s, M-46 towed artillery, BGM71 TOW-mounted Humvees and the interesting part is the M992 artillery/ammunition support vehicles.
And I believe along with the K9 Thunder howitzers currently being produced will also have the K10 artillery & ammunition support vehicle to accompany them. And cool hearing him talking about all the shells ammo being manufactured inhouse so that in time of war, they don't need to ask anyone for resupply. That's the best part of a domestic industry is the abundance of munitions in time of need.
Indeed. It's basically the fundamentals of an organized military whether it be offensive or defensive. You have an assaulting division consisting of tanks, armored vehicles, infantry backed by a formidable static & mobile artillery division like this. And there's 7 for all 7 assigned regions.
Speaking of regions, it's interesting because some people look at this and think because of the recent wars in places like Syria, Armenia and Ukraine, it was much more urban warfare and so people think this type of open land warfare might be a thing of the past, but they don't realize Egypt has huge swaths of open land & desert and especially a certain peninsula that needs to be protected from an invasion by a certain evil force. So this is absolutely necessary. Only problem is the assigning of this division formation as the "Central Division" which essentially means Cairo which makes people question why all the way into the inner huge city would there be a need for such a powerful division that basically fights from 30 - 40 km distances? Which doesn't even include the assault armor & infantry? So a slight bit of controversy as to the reason for this formation.

Yes, I believe the same exact thing, that Iran will get the same 30 aircraft that were destined for the EAF, already built and painted with the EAF naval camo colors and ready to be delivered. We actually counted 22 of the 30 ordered in the latest satellite picture at an airbase in Russia just last year. And they were still there when Kim Jon-Un visited Russia as recent as December 10th of last year.
If failed because the United States Congress passed a bill called CAATSA (Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act) which was introduce by none other than good-old senator Ted Cruz from Texas. It was created because of Nord Stream 2, the gas pipe from Russia to Germany which the US figured Russia was blackmailing Germany and much of Europe with its oil and of course, funding it's "world domination" lmao starting with Europe. Of course, the US had to do something to punish Russia, so they created CAATSA and passed it through Congress I believe in 2021.
Basically as the name suggest, it's designed to discourage and punish any country that buys weapons and/or oil from Russia by imposing sanctions on it. So, when the US found out about Egypt's deal for the Su-35s during the Trump administration, Mike Pompeo threatened the Egyptian government that the US would enact CAATSA on Egypt by imposing sanctions on it if it continued with the deal and accepted the aircraft. Of course, it also had a lot to do with our horrible neighbors since they were freaking out about that fighter coming to the EAF so I'm certain that had a lot to do with it as well.
Bottom line is it's a pretty serious threat and Egypt is in no position to take on any sanctions from the US as it could ruin the country and set it back 50 years. So, it quietly backed out of the deal for the aircraft despite never announcing it or saying a single word about it. The aircraft just never showed up in Cairo loool. But it's quite obvious what happened and then the US is trying to offer F-15s to Egypt in return to make up for the loss of the Su-35s, but we all know the story with American fighters coming to Egypt and the latest is that they're supposed to be either packaged with the 24 Eurofighter Typhoons that the EAF is very interested in and is supposedly negotiating for them as we speak. But the rumor is that the EAF is insisting on the Meteor being part of the deal with the EFTs and there seems to be an issue with that, of course! Duh! Who would've thought?! lol
So we're not sure where things stand right now, we just have to wait and see but the Su-35S is kaput! Without a doubt.
And it sucks ass! I almost would prefer the Su-35S over the Rafale, almost! Always loved Russian fighters ever since I was running around in diapers and the Su-35S would've given the EAF a huge boost and a lot more freedom of operations, certainly more than F-15s plus the huge variety of potent & deadly weapons.

Because of US intervention in the deal. Because of the CAATSA law which can be applied on Egypt if we get the SU-35. So either accept SU-35 and suffer its consequences (economic and financial pressure/sanctions) or to decline SU-35 so no sanctions.

They also seem to be using a new Khibiny EW wingtip pod on their own brand new Su-35Ss. These are the two latest ones delivered to the VKS 2 weeks ago. Just in the video still before playing it you can see the pod has a totally different pointy front than the common rounded old one and also has a radiation warning which if I'm not mistaken, the old did not have either. So it must contain some type of radar in it now which is fascinating.

They seem to have night vision incorporated to the helmets!@The SC or anyone else interested, notice the helmets on these fellas? Click and enlarge to see. Notice the top of the helmets on both pilots? Those are not the standard visors on the Rafale helmets, and the aircraft is loaded with MICA IR & ER missiles.

Ain’t no way the French denied meteor to Egypt. The radar issue is what made us back out of the su deal. That’s the same reason why we didn’t purchase more migs because of the pesa radar and the aesa radar not being readily available
