Apparently, chaos and agitation is spreading in Pakistan like wild fire. IK is trying to blackmail Pak military for long time now. Maulana Fazal ur Rehman too is spitting fire especially his diatribes against the army chief are noteworthy. And now suddenly we see violent rallies in Azad Kashmir too. What's going on in Pakistan, one wonders. Some worried Pakistanis genuinely think that things are getting out of control systematically according to some well-coordinated plan. Well, it will be surprising for many to know that there is actually one reason or factor behind all these apparently unrelated events of violence and political unrest. And that factor is known as Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah. Let's see how?
Let's start with extremely worrisome events in Azad Kashmir in past three days. Reportedly, it was an idea of our military command that if a large scale tax evasion is detected anywhere in Pakistan, the FBR officials of that area should be first held and integrated. That's exactly what happened in Azad Kashmir. Two FBR officials were reportedly held for a day, and they spelled all the beans without much effort. Then, authorities raided some industrial units including a few cigarette producing factories where they reportedly found 5 billion covertly produced cigarettes of Gold Leaf brand. Only this consignment was meant to evade 3 to 5 billion rupees of tax. Only a few days after that the political violence, under PTI's patronage, was taking roots and the peak was the events of the last three days.
Now let's look at Maulana Fazal ur Rehman's fire spitting at the military command. The actual pain that Maulana sahib should have is due to the routing of his political party in the recent general elections. Maulana initially accused the sell-out RO's in KPK and Sindh for unexpected defeat of his political party in these two provinces. Logically he is supposed to vent his anger against PTI and PPP, the two actual beneficiary political parties of Maulana's loss. But strangely enough all his diatribes are against the military command. Reportedly, it is again because of the tobacco mafia. The military is behind an on-going crackdown on tobacco mafia for allegedly large scale tax evasion KPK. A tobacco tycoon was recently elected as a senator on JUI(F) ticket. Since then, Maulana sahib is targeting the military command more than anyone else.
It's not surprising that IK is dreaming to get the same level of support from generals as he used to get from them during 2011-22 era, especially from Bajwa and Faiz. Since military's project Imran Khan met a disgraceful failure and also the military decision to withdraw its support to PTI, IK has desperately tried everything, from publicly humiliating retired and serving generals to licking their feet in private messaging (a rude attempt to use the stick and carrot tactic), for a resumption of old day favors. After humiliating diatribes against Bajwa, no one in military is eager to extend a supporting hand to such an extremely selfish, utterly stupid and incapable, and thoroughly unsuitable for running a country like Pakistan as IK. In addition, the COAS knows it fully well how much filthy, selfish, and double-faced IK is. He caught IK’s wife taking bribes red handed and reported it to IK in good faith that he was a clean person and so he would stop the large scale corruption by his wife and her gang. It turned out just the opposite. IK preferred a disgraceful path by removing Asim Munir from his post of DG ISI in a rather unceremonial way. So, IK's rogue and utterly stupid line of action against the military command is understandable to a large extent.
It's indeed all notorious mafias vs. military command in Pakistan at present. Before it was Riaz Malik mafia against the COAS. Then Afghan mafia joined the fight against Pak military after a crackdown was launched by Pak military against the Afghans smuggling the US dollars from Pakistan. Now, it is the tobacco mafia. One can expect even more mafias to join the fight against the Pak military. You'll see many political elements (who are partners of these mafias) will support these mafias.
