The main demands from what I have been able to gather are:
-electricity at production rate
-flour subsidy akin to GB
-curtailing of govt. privilages

apparently, some promises made when mangla dam was built that weren't fulfilled. i can't comment on this as i don't know the history. whatever the case, govt. should handle this with care especially given that india is pumping billions into iok.

People of Kashmir should be given royalties from mangla dam because it's been built on their land.. the concept that royaltiesshould be based on location of location of powerhouse is completely absurd

Regardless people of kpk and not getting the royalties...

The question is what is the money going?
Federation was never meant to be spending so much... Just knowing defense but also on development projects that it has no job doing

It's not absurd at all. This is a basic norm throughout the world. The owner of the land from which the resources are being obtained gets a royalty to compensate for the opportunity cost & inconvenience of using that land for resource production.

Yes, it most definitely is. Canada, America, Germany, etc take your pick. Not only that but individuals or municipalities who own a piece of land that is being used for resource production also get royalties. Not sure if it's the same in China since they have a different land ownership system but their provinces have royalties as well.

For hydropower specifically, a quick search returned this:
