This morning another clash broke out on the western border where Afghan Taliban members opened fire on Pakistani border guards and posts as a way to cover for TTP militants to cross through

They also regularly throw abuses at soldiers in Pashto and try to tear down the fencing

An IED was found planted next to a border checkpost wall at the same time

Here is the IED that they planted next to a wall in a civillian crossing

If this had successfully blown up - the checkpost would be destroyed and women and children would have been killed - and TTP militants would be easily able to cross.

Why don't we just bomb the shiit out of their posts in that region.
Caz few hundred casuality and they will learn
Because for Pakistani slaves, Afghans could never harm them and have never, they are 'brothers' and could never do anything wrong with them. TTP, Taliban these are all their brotherly people and Afghans according to them, love them.

Everything is propaganda. 😝

Because Pakistan military is well aware about the situation.

When Soviet and USA, can't win against Afghanistan, Pakistan has no chance.

It will be disaster for Pakistan and situation will be worst than 2000s in Pakistan if they go fully offensive.

Going strongly offensive means, you will have a permanent enemy at your West border and gorilla war is more problematic, it is not easy to deal with

Best option for Pakistan to tight security at border fence as India does between india and Pakistani borders

Sometimes okay to go offensive but with limits... This will be the best deAl.

Simple solutions.

1. Deport All Afghans.
2. Close the borders entirely.
3. Bomb anyone within 1km of our checkpoints/borders.

Completely different situation. The USA and USSR were invading forces trying to control Afghan territory. We are a neighbouring country, we aren't venturing into Afghan territory - we are sticking to our border.

The USA and USSR lost because they were on unfamiliar territory and the enemy could take them by surprise from behind. We can see them coming from in front, our rear is not exposed.

Again, USA was nothing toloose in Afghanistan expect dollars, they were far from Afghanistan and Taliban could not harm them badly. Soviet war was different because USA and other big players were involved with providing arm support.

But Pakistan is just next to Afghanistan, armed Taliban much presences in tribal areas to still across in Pakistan.

And coming to gorilla war, no chance to beat them if we just look at history.

Traditional war, no chance for Afghanistan against Pakistan but Taliban does not fight traditional war.

@CynicalPakistaniCritic , This guy seems like a Intelligence agent or a paid idiot spreading false narrative to swing another Afghan war, so his establishment masters can get a new lifeline to save the internal hatred Pakistanis have for them.

When Estab and Company has been fighting wars like Mir Jaffar and Mir Saddiq or Nizam of Hyderabad against Tipu Sultan, People across the area will hate them. and thats what they are still trying to do, and their foot soldiers like @CynicalPakistaniCritic who hold no value in grand scheme of things are jumping up and down like, Yes Sir, job done sir.

The Soviets, the US and Pakistan don't have the same mission.

The US and Soviets were on a nation building mission

Pakistan is on a mission of **self-defence** which means securing a border and striking any targets that pose a threat

Bro seriously
This is a defence forum
Afghans can do jack shit in conventional war fare, yes they are good guerilla fighters when their neighbours give them safe heavens to run away and hide

How many times did they go toe to toe with Americans and won, pretty much never

Yes ambushes cutting supply lines within own territory they can do incredibly well

It does means you can cross the border and attack.

Will they going to tolerate?

1 -2 incidents are fine but you can't do regularly, it will turn Afghanistan as permanent enemy and every one's know, how they are capable to harm.

I already said, traditional war - Taliban has no chance but still they heavily presence in Pakistan, will cause much damage, specially tribal areas will be more concerns

Once you have secured the border with proper infrastructure - Afghans don't have the potential to go on an offensive - they are guerilla fighters. So they'll be limited. Just screaming at the border trying to cross.

So you can strike the infrastructure/camps with impunity whenever you want. Just secure your border properly first.

It does not work that way.

You can drop as.many bombs within your territory but you can't do on other borders.

You don't want a permanent enemy who is much capable in gorilla war. Pakistan struggling with a few armed people and it causing many Pakistanis soldiers being killed.. it will be disaster if you make a organisation alike Taliban your enemy.
