Good job finding this. Honestly, we should localise those equipments. In times of war, self sufficiency is the key. I don't think we will get ToT for this.

Agreed. As generous and kind as the Korean have been, I don't think they'll pass on any of this tech especially where there are only a handful making them with this level of tech. We just need Sami to come up with some kind of proof that Egypt is the largest customer of the HJ-12. So far there is nothing regarding that. I hope he's right.

I'm sure you fellas remember this incredible moment, but just in case some of the other fellas reading this thread haven't seen it, they can appreciate the incredible bravery and situational awareness this Egyptian M60A3 tank driver displayed in such a brutal terrorist attack. On top of those two admirable qualities he displayed was a third and that's his tank-driving skills. Watch him squeeze that monster of a tank (you don't realize how big an M60 Patton is until it's next to a car) between the terrorist's car he just flattened out and the other civilian vehicle that was stuck in traffic on the road. Might've been 3 millimeters between the tank and the two cars when he slid through and went back to cover his mates in the EW & APC. And that blast was no joke, plus the heavy wind blowing that day also and notice the hood or entire front end of the car go flying into the tank. Incredible stuff.

And BTW, where do you guys think this was filmed from? Any guesses?

Did everyone forget the Serbian offer with ToT of the ALAS (Advanced Light Attack System).. Anti-tank among other targets..
  • Alas-A is a ground to ground variant with range of 25 km.
  • Alas-B is a ground to ground variant with range of 60 km.

Shame on us! lol Seriously though and in all honesty, I think there was some enamoring effect with South Korea because of all the other big deals, K9, K1A, K2, FA-50 and three of those are officially signed so that's a big plus. The Serbian stuff is actually incredible and hopefully the MOU they signed will turn into a bunch of major contracts with full ToT. Hey, if the Serbian president gave Sisi that beautiful, custom-made wood-engraved brass & silver hunting rifle, that means there's gonna be some big stuff coming down the road lol. No one gives a hunting rifle of that magnitude unless there's big goings on behind the scenes! :D

Oh and it's all Sami's fault anyway lol. He distracted us all with Egypt being the largest customer of the HJ-12 haha and he threw us all for a loop.

The latest developments in the Egyptian Barracuda submarine deal and the truth about pictures of Egyptian fighters inside hidden bunkers

I don't think that the deal got concluded. It could have been a good addition with ToT and start a homegrown missile family.

Yeah it was a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) that they signed which is basically a simple formality to show intent that they will at least sit down and try to hammer out what seems to be a potentially huge arms deal. Part of the lovey-dovey bromance that developed between Aleksandar Vučić and Sisi 🫶 lol.

You know if Slobodan Milošević was still the president (he would be almost 90 by now if he was still alive) he would rather be run over by a T-72 tank and flattened out before making an arms deal with a Muslim country like Egypt. Times have certainly changed and Vučić seems like a genuine fella.

Wasn't he the war criminal of the Kosovo or the Bosnian war? In contrast of Tito who was loved by everybody even the westerners hahaha. Yugoslavia died when Tito died.

I didn't give my views , I stated the facts
Enough of the chest beating, maybe it can work Infront of the various " your admireres" . Enough of boasting about self raising image of greatness or abilities. It is fine by me that you look at yourself with the pink prism , but some colonials to talk down on Asperger patient that I don't like
If they are big as that little colonial subject talks , well let them feed themselves. Turks always did it, no?
Who knows, maybe I came from family who in a way were PM of Egypt? Maybe?

Yeah man, he started out as the president of the League of Communists of Serbia in the 1980s and held several other presidential titles on his way to President of Serbia and president of the League of Communists of Serbia before he ended up in front of the Internation Criminal Tribunal of Yugoslavia to stand trial for war crimes.

Hopefully a similar fate awaits a certain other prime minister responsible for recent heinous war crimes.

I am sure you are talking about this photo

Do we know how many of the Akerons they have? And what was the deal to acquire that?

I'm wondering what extent they will use it, as in make modifications to many of the other ATGM launching platforms they have, including mounting it on IFVs and other armored vehicles.

Are you talking to yourself in a mirror?
