it was only assembled in india with imported equipment, when USSR broke down and the supply chain was disrupted India was not able to produce its parts for maintenance. so much for local production of made-in-India. While F-7 based on Mig-21 was not only completely produced in china but upgraded without OEM. JFT was produced jointly for PAF and export market that need LCA. At that time the only fighter in the category in the market was JAS39. If any country buy JFT of any version it still has to be produced in Pakistan. does this same applies to SU30mki or Mig21 ?
