Tactical Report: Egypt accelerates the purchase of a fleet of French nuclear submarines to confront Israel

Sounds like Sisi is really pushing for this, ey? Let's look at the numbers real quick:

6 Barracudas for €4 billion? Plus and unknown number of cruise missiles that Naval actually wants to include in the package for an additional €1 billion, so a total of 6 subs for €5?!
And Australia was supposed to get 12 subs for €35 billion! Ho-Lee-Sheet.

That means Australia was going to pay almost €3 billion per submarine while Egypt would pay €830,000 per submarine. That can't be right lol.

Either I'm doing the math incorrectly (which I doubt) or there's something really fishy about the numbers because that is crazy cheap for a nuclear-powered submarine and Egypt would be getting an unfathomable deal!

The other stickler in this whole thing is that the Shortfin Barracuda ) nuclear-powered submarine (which was the one picked by Australia and assuming it's the one being discussed here for Egypt can be powered by either weapon's grade uranium which lasts 30 years and France would supply the replacement, or low-enriched uranium which lasts only 10 years and needs to be replaced by owner country which Egypt would have to do but does not have that capability yet. That means the weapons grade uranium would have to be the choice which would obviously be a rather complicated issue I would think.

And the other elephant in the room is of course why would France agree to supply such 6 such devastating weapons system with weapons-grade uranium fuel powering them and a butt-load of cruise missiles (among a butt-load of other dangerous weapons) to Egypt and is easily bitch-slapped by the zionists about the lousy Meteor? They refuse to supply the Meteor (at least they have so far) but will supply a nuclear-powered submarine which carries 40 MdCN cruise missiles (I'm assuming 40 CMs since it says 20 CM racks and I'm guessing 2 missiles per rack) among other lethal weapons such as Artemis torpedoes, Exocet anti-ship missiles, MICA surface to air missiles and FG29 multi-influence mines...................yet refuse the lousy Meteor?

However, in the 2nd video you posted, La Tribune is stating that the Barracudas Egypt is interested in are the "conventional-powered" submarines which means they're not the same as the ones that were destined for Australia. Sounds like the AIP subs which would make more sense.

Does that make sense to anyone? What do you think, SC? Still, they're way too cheap and too lethal to make a stinky about the Meteor.

The ones for Australia were also conventional but they had to be all made in Australia meaning full ToT.. The US and UK suggested nuclear ones at that price or even cheaper..

I guess the ones for Egypt are also conventional.. they say nuclear because it the original version.. but hey if they can sell the nuclear ones why not!

Heck yeah! Even for the non-enriched plutonium powered ones would be a monumental score at that price. And I'm pretty sure I did the math correctly so one of those (including the CMs) would be under a billion euros which honestly, can't be true, hence that number is most likely DCNS' SMX Ocean AIP Sub like you and Ramses originally said. That price is much more in line with the SMX than the Shortfin Barracuda of either type of nuclear-powered ones that sounded like our friend Ahmad Mubarak was referring to.

And it makes more sense that the Shortfins for Australia were priced around €3 billion per compared to under a billion per.

But how is it even possible that they would even entertain the thought, I'm talking about Navale and the French to supply Egypt with not one, but 6 of these super lethal weapons of tremendous destruction (especially since they want to include what, 100+ cruise missiles?)(maybe even more as each sub carries 40 X 6 that's 240 total) and they're squawking about a lousy 200 Meteors for the Rafales? That's equally as puzzling as the willingness to sell the bad unpredictable, dangerous and zionist-threatening Egyptian military 6 lethal attack submarines, let alone nuclear-powered ones!!! Am I missing something?

Well it will be something between the barracuda and the Scorpene..the SMX Ocean fits there.. but some say it is the same as the conventional Barracuda..

What's your opinion on the idea of the French considering those subs vs their issues with the Meteor?

I never heard any official issue with the Meteor..

I never heard any official issue with the Meteor..

I'm sorry, bro, maybe I'm not phrasing it correctly.
I meant considering the French are willing to supply these subs to Egypt (maybe even nuclear-powered ones) AND with lots of devastating cruise missiles that are considered major offensive weapons, yet they object to supplying the Meteor missile for the Rafales. Does that make any sense? That's what I meant.

To me, having 6 submarines of that caliber that could pose a much larger threat with those cruise missiles and the other weapons they possess seems like a much larger threat to the BS QME and the zionist entity than 54 Rafales armed with Meteor missiles. So why would they object to providing the Meteor to Egypt and be willing to supply this large quantity of submarines with a huge package of deadly cruise missiles that would be a much larger threat than the Meteors to Egypt? It makes no sense, don't you think?

What do any other fellas think of that odd scenario?

I understood your post.. do you have any official statement of France objecting to hand over the Meteor to the EAF..???

Of course it is non-sense!

Oh my goodness, SC bro lol. I'm not arguing with you ya habib ro7i! There's quite a few publications about the Meteor being held back from the EAF I'm honestly surprised we're even going there. Not my intention whatsoever.

I thought that was already understood and this point was whether the French are having a change of heart in that regards, that's all.

No worries Bro.. For me..short of an official statement about the issue.. all those defeatist publication statements are worth Zero..

I don't think that we will the Barracudas etc... first due to its cost and the ongoing crisis. According to Wiki, one sub =1,7 billion $ money that we "don't have rn". So imagine 6 of them.

Yeah but you heard what Mubarak said in that video, the value of the deal was €5 billion including all the cruise missiles for all 6 of them. That comes out to less than €1 billion per (€830,000) to be exact.

Regardless of the economic situation which apparently isn't phasing any of this news, right? So why should we think any differently even though it makes no sense to commit to such a huge debt at this point in time. I just find it interesting and even more so the willingness to supply Egypt with such a deadly weapons system that literally could single-handedly change the entire power balance in the ME, especially if there is any truth to the other issue with the Rafales.

France doesn't like Turkey..

Egypt with such a deadly weapons system that literally could single-handedly change the entire power balance in the ME,

It can not change power of balance in the ME

Egypt did not even sign a deal to buy 6 Barracuda Submarines while 6 Type-214TN class AIP Submarines will be delivered to the Turkish Navy between 2023 and 2027

also Turkiye produce STM-500 mini Attack Submarines to carry ATMACA anti-ship Missiles and AKYA heavyweight Torpedos

and in 2025 , Turkiye start construction of MILDEN class AIP Submarine to replace Type-209 class Submarines in 2030s

so Type214TN and MILDEN class AIP Submarines will be game changer with great fire power
1.000 km GEZGIN strategic strike Cruise Missile
220+ km ATMACA anti-ship Missile
50 km AKYA heavyweight Torpedo

Egypt doesnt have money to match with Turkiye's $38 billion defense budget
Egypt's defense budget is worth $5.2 billion
