I’m starting to think Iran should offer to sell Russia Iranian AD systems. There is a lot of attacks getting thru the Russian IADS and not just in Crimea, but deeper inside Russia.

It would be a great chance to have Iranian advisors test Mehran, Bavar, Khordad, Dey, etc. systems against Western projectiles.

don't knew those are mainly designed to counter aircraft and high flying drones.
the majority of damage to Russia is done with Storm-shadow and ATACMS . wonder how effective the system is against them specially against ATACMS , those system are not comprehensively tested against ballistic missiles

Ballistic Missile is easier to intercept than a modern fighter jet. Fighter jet can take 100 different paths. These BMs can take only one (maybe 2) especially since they are endospheric-Quasi BM.

The most important thing to intercept a BM is a capable radar and IADS network to detect and target the BM for AD missile to get accurate interception coordinates. Hence why Americans claim that Patriot intercepts Iskander and even Khinzal and Zircon (a system it wasn’t designed to intercept).

So yes Iranian Air defense systems can intercept BMs if necessary radar is integrated. Which I’m sure Russians have no shortage of.

As for storm shadows, come on…Those are glorified cruise missiles. Only difference is designed to have lower RCS. Iran has likely tested its own air defense systems against low RCS like Mobin (.1 m2)

Yemenis claimed the hit was "accurate and direct" but no verification as of yet

would be quite a big deal, I am sceptical but who knows

Sayyad-2 and more recent variants can just intercept anything ballistic (on paper), it is literally a SM-2 equivalent, it can intercept any projectile following a ballistic path
It is also capable of intercepting missiles like Zircon or Khinzal on paper

People tend to forget Sayyad is a SM based missile, not something Russian/Soviet

But we know USN air defenses didnt do well against the recent Iranian drone and missile attack against Israel, so i would not believe today that US Navy ships are excellently protected against naval attacks- maybe US and Yemen have a tacit agreemnt to not publicize successful attacks on NATO naval vessels near Yemen.

Yes, It’s mostly about two things:

1) Kinetic match up of AD missile you are sending to intercept (example S-200 isn’t that great since it’s bulky and less maneuverable, but has great speed)

2) Using Sufficient radars for search, targeting, and detection.

3) talent/training of air defense team

That’s it. Any air defense that has those 3 items can attempt to intercept BMs especially inside the atmosphere.

Let’s not forget the shoot down of F-117 by an talented air defense team.

People confuse THAAD, Arrow-2/3, S-300VM with the only capability to intercept BMs. Those are merely dedicated ABM systems rather than all around. And they have the ability to leave the atmosphere and kill in space when a BM is most vulnerable. They are mostly just glorified BMs being shot at another BM.
 
BREAKING: Biden announces new ceasefire proposal in live speech

Biden says that Israel has offered a new ceasefire proposal. This is three-phase roadmap to a permanent ceasefire and the release of all hostages

Phase 1: The first phase will last six weeks with a complete ceasefire and withdrawal of Israeli forces from populated areas of Gaza. During the six weeks of phase one, Israel and Hamas would negotiate to get to phase two which is a permanent end to hostilities. If negotiations take more than 6 weeks, the ceasefire will continue as long as talks continue.

Phase 2: The second phase would be a "formal permanent end to hostilities" and the release of all the remaining live hostages.

Phase 3: Phase three would include the reparation of the Gaza Strip. This phase would also include the return of the remains of the hostages who died in Hamas captivity.

If he says Israel has offered it, onus is on Hamas to accept. It should do so immediately.
