Then IRGCN should take that role because somehow nothing never happens to them and their brand new shipsSahand tolerated waves of oceans. How could it sink so easily?
Sad and embarrassing. Those responsible should be severely punished for wasting millions of dollars spent on the ship.
IRIN has to change its method or else lose everything. They shouldn't have used inexperienced crew for repairs.
IRGC-N is basically meant to defend the shores and IRIN is intended to ensure our safety beyond Iranian shores. Therefore IRIN has to reconsider many things from design to production.
Navy is much more experienced compared to IRGC-N. They have destroying Saddam's navy in their record. They have bravely fought against American navy in Persian gulf. Then IRGCN should take that role because somehow nothing never happens to them and their brand new ships
All those things are majoritarly from Artesh every single time
Agreed. Either sabotage or accident someone did really bad his job.Even if it is sabotage, that means that this asset was not properly protected.
But i don't think it is a sabotage. More negligence.
Again the question is why targeting an IRIN frigate and not something that really pose a threat to the saboteurs? (Besshad for example)Agreed. Either sabotage or accident someone did really bad his job.
But how old are the war veterans? This now is 40 years old, imagining they instructed the new generations, the navy isn't composed of war veterans but teached by war veteransNavy is much more experienced compared to IRGC-N. They have destroying Saddam's navy in their record. They have bravely fought against American navy in Persian gulf.
The old methods must be changed and they have to redirect their funds to useful designs and production lines.
Or else as you said, they will have to inevitably drop the surface fleet of the navy and stick to submersible fleet as you mentioned.
Not specially a very modern design....Here the Sahand 74 when it was in dry dock at the ISOICO (Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex) before returning to the water and sinking,

Tell this to IRGCN, somehow they dodge all incidents and nothing happens to them with their brand new ships and IRIN gets all the craziest evitable incidentsNot specially a very modern design....
Both IRGC-N and IRIN have similar budget defined and presented by government to majles.Tell this to IRGCN, somehow they dodge all incidents and nothing happens to them with their brand new ships and IRIN gets all the craziest evitable incidents
This shows how IRIN gets no fund at all and is let sinking their ships every year because of old designs, barely any production whileIRGCN gets all the latest designs and big funds thanks to rahbar
This is what unevitably happen when you have 2 separated navies, one that gets barely any funds and sinks like that and another one that gets all they want and nothing ever happens to them (it is not because of luck)
That is a good question.Again the question is why targeting an IRIN frigate and not something that really pose a threat to the saboteurs? (Besshad for example)
An IRIN frigate doesn't pose any threat to a country with hundreds of destroyers, if Israel, first it poses and posed no threats to them
The thing is that Iran always go loud when they just think about a sabotage, right now there is nothing saidThat is a good question.
And the answer should be the easiest explanation... Because it is the easiest point to hit. They (Israel, let´s be clear) tried to sabotage IRIAF helicopters, IRIAF fighters recently. In some cases they didn´t succeed. In others the success was very limited (they burnt and seems not completely an F4).
But entering in Bandar Abbas at night, with a demolition team at night, it was probably prepared years ago. They have been studing during years the easiests ways to hurt Artesh/IRGC. They just made an indirect attack to hurt the governmental interests without falling in a clear casus belli. I am pretty sure they did something similar with the Kharg incident.
And that came just some days after HZ entered in a Naval Base in Haifa with a drone and days after hitting any naval detachment in West Galilee.
Seems that IRIN needs much more things that just frigates. They need new ASW helicopters and planes to control the underwater traffic and specialized troops for guarding the ports and seashore bases in the foward islands.
