Another thing, it puts paid to all the conspiracy theories over the years that India decides who the government of BD is.

Ultimately any person that wants to rule BD needs the support of the majority of BD'shis and that is the way it should be.

I don't think it was just him but he probably knew that BA soldiers would not fire on their own brothers and sisters.

BA itself has always been a professional organisation.

I never said it was just him. It's primarily the soldiers and mid level officers who challenged him in the country wide officers meeting day before yesterday. To his credit, he understood what his troops wanted unlike Hasina, who failed to understand people's grievances for the last 15 years.

A major Power Vacuum created now.Let's see if BD military seize the opportunity for their own greed or some productive result comes out.

Wish best of luck for the people of Bangladesh.Truely Tigers.
BD military should not betray their countrymen.

Yes!

The idiots who claimed India controls BD are looking pretty stupid!

Anyway, BAL and BNP need to be disbanded!

We need full PR.

currenlty she is flying over India, most probably she will land at Delhi and figure out the next course of action..

I checked Bangladesh news. The Army Chief has already called intellectuals, a Dhaka University Law Professor, and other parties to the Army HQ. I would say moving in the right direction could create a good caretaker government for now.

BD leaders are truly beholden to their goons.

They cannot read the population!

Hence always pay the ultimate price! Idiots!

I still stand by my hypothesis that this ouster was engineered by Bangladeshi elites, with full backing of BD Army.

China knew Hasina was not gonna sit for long, thus gave her a cold shoulder in Beijing.
Hasina leaned too much on India.

The Army refused to shoot civillians.
Which effectively means Hasina had no choice but to leave.

BA is not an organisation that is interested in ruling the country.

It will now be the key player in trying to move the country forward and will look to set up at least a transitional government as soon as possible.

As @BananaRepublic has said the best political system for BD is one of PR as a democracy. The old 2-party yo-yo show was not moving BD forward at all.

We will have to see how this plays out as this is all unknown and BD history with democracy is one of political instability, but this is 2024 and not 2004 with a richer and more educated population now.

Latest report from Journalist Zulkarnain Sami - India and UK denied entry to Hasina. She is seeking alternative to enter Belarus now. Also, no BAF pilot wants to fly her to her destination.
