In this mess, with Jamaati, BNP, and, on the sidelines, the Army, deeply intermingled, what's to like or to dislike.
For all those idiots predicting genocidal violence due to this political upheaval. Especially the one in Canada spreading gloom and doom.View attachment 58102
Student wing of Jamaat e Islami - Islami Chatra Shibir sharing images of Shibir cadres guarding Hindu temples in Noakhali district.
Noakhali district has history of communal violence, dating back all the way to 1947 partition.
You keep on singing All is well and then you will end up in a well. For all those idiots predicting genocidal violence due to this political upheaval. Especially the one in Canada spreading gloom and doom.
I hate to agree with you.South Asians learnt the word genocide on twitter and then never stopped using it inappropriately
This was just waiting to happen. Let all well-wishers of Bangladesh hope - very hard.BREAKING NEWS

anything on the interim government? Don't really want the Bangladeshi fellow students to get rid of one dictator for another.
By the way, what does the Bangladeshi constitution say about it? in the absence of the PM who gets the acting charge?

Bangladesh situation will be pretty much new here, as Indonesian who has undergone people power more than 2 decades ago, we dont have the same situation.
In Indonesia case, we get rid Soeharto but the ruling party during Authoritarian ruling keep in tack and even they are the one that become the interim administration (just put our Vice President (BJ Habibie) to replace Soeharto) and also they are (Golkar parliament members) who transform our law so much that laid the foundation for our democratic system. There is no changing before 1999 General Election, except there is no Soeharto as ruler and every body understand it is the time Indonesia should embrace democracy.
There is Philippine case that may fit more into current BD situation
USA is the best in business they are our enemy but they are worthy of our admiration. The way they have total control on any outcome and accept for certain situations like Iran revolution, you will find USA to be the hidden force on both sides of the equation. No matter who wins, the house (USA) always wins! Many PDF members pointed this out, that Hasina will be on the hitlist and now she's gone. It's a mystery on how the usa does it, the protesters were genuine aswell, looking at the Arab spring, the protesters were genuine but usa used that to cause havoc in those nations, some even led to wars, in some nations after a few years the old guard came back to power.
If Bangladesh moves from BAL to BNP/JI coalition government, and Bangladesh gives military base to Usa then I would say its a red flag but hopefully Bangladesh will move towards interim government, and the youth, professionals create new parties which will rule bangladesh. Unfortunately I don't see that happening anytime soon, BNP/JI will be in power.
