Sounds like what Pakistan mentioned about Mujiber Rehman, about his close connections with India, on how he received help from India and finally India intervened via military to help their ally, Pakistan leadership too complained that Indian army and agents are instigating the people against Pakistan, giving them arms, using Pakistan army uniform to kill innocents, and raping women in order to cause hatred and civil war, once a rebellion starts then the bullet doesn't look at who's who. After his death his daughter continued his policy of being close to India, allowing India access to Bangladesh to protect her rule. Modi sarkar also confirmed they funded, trained rebels and liberated Bangladesh.

You are right. We had Doc here but he keeps getting into trouble. He tells me (I was absent for around a month and a half) that he's got banned again. I am planning to make a representation to management to let him, on the understanding that I will be constantly with him.

There are many others, of course, but times are turbulent, public affairs is in a state that is troubling, and people are frankly preoccupied with the state of the country and unable to achieve much by way of participation in the affairs of our neighbours.

Does anyone remember the Indian Blitz? It's stock in trade was to print defamatory articles about people, unless they paid off the editor. He went for my father once, the old man, being an impecunious government servant, refused the generous offer to remain out of the headlines for the payment of a small fee, and prosecuted Blitz for defamation. There is some truth to the "textile economy" but radicals are usually kept in check in BD. We'll have to see what influence Jamaat has on the next government if any.

Economy is diversifying as non-garment sectors are growing far faster than garments and so while you cannot really see it now, as garments still account for a massive proportion of industrial production value, it will eventually go down and BD will have a more balanced economy.

The annual floods are not what they were in decades past and they do not affect either the economy or people's lives anywhere near as some think.
