This is still the non-ER version. I wouldn't say "older" per se because the Erieye AEW&C the PAF is getting does have some updates, but it isn't an ER.

That said, I do think the PAF will eventually acquire a few Erieye-ERs, but as the full GlobalEye package.

IMO, the PAF is raising dedicated offensive wings with the J-31 and a UCAV (Bayraktar Kizilelma?) at the center.

If they want to give the connected units radar coverage while safely being within Pakistan, they'd need the Erieye-ER's range.

So, we could see the PAF aim for 3 GlobalEye AEW&C and 3 HAVASOJ for 2 offensive wings and 1 dedicated maritime ops wing (each with 1-2 J-31 squadrons).

I really dont see PAF going for the Global Eye, there is too much overlap with the Sea Sultan project, making it an quite expensive unit in itself due to its multipurpose nature. I can see them going for the ER in the same configuration/platform as the existing Erieyes, with HAVASOJ and Sea Sultan's completing the capability gaps.

Where's will be the $$$$ to buy super expensive 5th gen jets if our economy remains same more reasonable figures will be Pakistan will buy 36-72 5th gen jets in 2030-2040 time frame, this is more than enough for pakistani requirements

My own guess is that we may even go for Global eye from SAAB. Eventually those will come also. That is my personal assessment

Makes no sense for them - BD airspace isn’t exactly that vast to make keeping a HVAA safe and unless they really want freebies this is more of a white elephant than not.

Cant say - my guess is like the Lynx they either go into storage or if there is enough airframe life left in them might try to get manufacturer to buy at back dirt cheap to use for another conversion

Even the Y-9 as a platform is not liked by its pilots. And because its this full modified aircraft there seems no potential to demilitarize it and sell it off. Would be funny to see the PAF use it as a VIP transport

KAAN will be here. KAAN 2nd prototype is almost ready third prototype half finished. By 2008 small batch production will begin and by 2035 would receive our first few. These are not delusions. They are clear timeline which is taking place. It's Turkey not India.

Even after seeing Pakistan induction Type 54 A, Babur Class Corvettes, 4 Tabuk Class Off Shore Patrol Vessels, 8 Submarines, Sea Sultan planes, ATR 72, Missile Boats, J-10 C, JF-17 BLOCK III, 6 AWACS, Akinci, TB 2, Wing Long II, SHAHPAR II, Euro copter Fennec Helicopter, AW 139 Helicopters, CH-4, VT 4 Tank, SP15 Artillery, Helicopters and many weapons which I am forgetting at the moment have been inducted and you still want to doubt that how we would induct 100 to 150 5th Generation jets than Mr. nothing will wake you up. Absolutely nothing even when you would see that happen, you would create something new to doubt about. A sinical person always remains sinical. Please tell me how we inducted these weapons with this economy. Like I really want you to answer on how all these weapons came? @MastanKhan

Development of indigenous engine takes time, in fact lot of time, engine development is one of the most difficult field in the world and Turkiye has no experience in development of F-119 class engine
