I feel “normal Americans” are beginning to show frustration - this war must be like a millstone round the neck of the American taxpayer - the Jewish lobby in congress working overtime to keep allowing the debt to rise to extraordinary heights - all so Netanyahu can continue the genocide……This thread is about the on-going conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis. I, like @Hassan Al-Somal mostly concentrate on the current events/scenarios. The time for the historic discussions was already gone before this conflict began and now it is too long gone. Yet some members here can't resist that. Nobody can change anyone's mind on the historic events. What can change minds are the actual gains/losses on the battlefields in this conflict. Also, this conflict is very much tied with the Russia-Ukraine conflict as well as the American 'pivot' toward the Pacific against China.
But what can be already said: Israelis, through their lobbies in America, have truly damaged America's strategic interests already by not compromising with the neighboring Arabs and the Palestinians. What a damn leech country!!!

Stavridis, a retired admiral. “Our experience with Somali pirates years ago shows that you can’t just play defense; you have to go ashore to solve a problem like this. That is the only way for Iran to get the message.”
“The idea that we are simply going to patrol the Red Sea, the size of California,” with a “half-dozen police cars — our ships out there — is unrealistic,” he said.
Mr. Biden faces hard choices. He pulled back from the Middle East to focus on competing with and deterring China. Now he is being sucked back in.

Oh, I forgot to add the most important part in the NY Times article I mentioned above. So Israelis want to drag America into a fight--which is basically Israel's own fight. So much so for the most powerful military in the Middle East!!
Also the article says that Hezbollah's Radwan force can infiltrate northern Israel and take over some land; this important point was mentioned by one of the Israel Firsters in America as a sad admission of Israel's limitations.
So the situation is that Hezbollah can continue to target Israel in a low intensity war and Israel can try to keep escalating but Hezbollah knows Americans don't want to get involved so Hezbollah is not crossing some redlines. If this situation continues and Hamas is still able to fire rockets into Israel and Houthis still able to block ships to Israel and other militias in Iraq/Syria add to the Israel headaches then Israelis are truly in a huge trouble!!!

But in Washington, the concern now is less about a Hezbollah attack on Israel than an Israeli strike on Hezbollah. The United States has told Israel that if Hezbollah comes over the border, Washington will support Israel — but not the other way around.
Hezbollah appears to have been careful so far not to give the Israelis an excuse for a military operation. Still, Iran has built Hezbollah, the most powerful force in Lebanon, as protection for itself, not the Palestinians. Hezbollah is a deterrent against any major Israeli attack on Iran, given the carnage its thousands of missiles could inflict on Israel.
Iran has been supplying a lot of weapons to Hezbollah over the last few months in preparation for war with the Zionists.
The recentt Hezbollah atrack on the Zionist listening posts on Mount Meron was thought to have been carried out with anti-tank missiles with 8km range. These type of missiles would easily deal with tanks and apcs.
My take is that the Zionists are trying to provoke Hezbollah into a massive retaliation attack on civilian settlements and so the US jumps in on their side . They know that Hezbollah has the ability to repulse a ground invasion and can unleash massive destruction on them if they try a 'Gaza' on Lebanon - not that the US will be willing to supply the ordnance unless Hezbollah attacked first.
It seems that the Zionists have realised that time is on the side of the resistance and they need to leverage US power while it lasts before Iran and China(counterbalance US) become too powerful.

This is not including the tens of thousands more that are injured some with lifelong disabilities. If this is not a genocide, what is? The hypocrisy of the west knows no limits. Carpet bombing civilian infrastructure including hospitals, schools, UN shelters, residential complex, etc is not ok. This shows the clear lack of morals from the west. When will the Arabs and the Muslims wake up? The west has done nothing but start wars and pillage the Middle East of their natural resources.

Professor Jefferey Sachs used the word 'absolutely' a couple of days ago to say America doesn't want to be involved in a regional war in the Middle East. He is a very respectable person, along with Prof. Mearsheimer. These professors teach in elite American universities and know their words carry a lot of weight and would face even scrutiny by 'history' decades letter, just like people even now talk about who said or did what --such as the Papacy in Rome--during WW II.
So the opinions of such people are well worth paying attention to.
And the messages from them and similar saner patriotic Americans is that Israelis are dragging America down!! Damn you Zionist leeches!!! Where would you go next to destroy after America?!!
The NY Times article I posted above several times not only shows how this conflict is detrimental to America's strategic interests but also so much beneficial to America's arch-rivals China and Russia and some others like Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, although the article doesn't mention North Korea and Venezuela.

They have required U.S air weapons supply, diplomatic cover and support

As I said, a US President holds a lot of power, especially over foreign policy matters. Any oldies here recall 'Clear and Present Danger' (Harrison Ford)? A President can and does make huge decisions--often illegal--with far-reaching consequences for America's interests--good or bad consequences.
Biden is indeed the worst person to be in office right now. Even a President as pro-Israel like Trump might be tempted to cut the losses and make a 'deal'.
PS. The last American President who showed some spine against Israel was George Bush senior around 1990--over three decades ago! Shows you how thoroughly the Israel Firsters in America have taken over America. God-damn Leeches!!
