Resorts and hotels should be allowed to serve pork beef and alcohol , here in Varanasi , Prayagraj Alcohol meat and chicken are available but no beef .

Pork and alcohol ban is very much possible as lakshdweep is Muslim majority state..... but maybe they will have to allow it on few particular islands if not all in order to attract tourists.....

I agree. Just don't set up shop right in front of a temple or shrine or something of the sort..

..though that happens literally everywhere else in India. :LOL:

AstraZeneca does not agree. They say their producer cells are derived from cells first created more than 50 years back (and they are saying this since 2020). So.... I guess it kind of tells us that they are different.

Besides, even in HEK293, there are variants in cell lines and yes viruses can grow in multiple variants.

My belief is that for patent purposes, AZ has some kind of variant of original cells behind HEK 293 that they created in a proprietary fashion in-house. Which will explain how they can claim more than 50 years of past.

It is very common in pharma to create cells or molecules that are functionally identical but structurally different to avoid patent entanglement or to patent. As you know both processes and products can be patented, so yes, it could be a deliberate attempt to protect IPR of production or to avoid falling in a IPR trap.

So yes, it is very much possible that while SII is indeed a generic manufacturer of vaccines that grow in HEK 293 line, AZ have their own proprietary culture and process compatible with HEK-293 that is used in research and manufacturing.

Since there is no ban on beef so pork and alcohol will be allowed as you find in five star hotels of south India and goa i think west bangal also serves beef . .

Yes its possible and plus there's an option for keeping it available on some specific islands if not all

Bhaang and ganza and daru is easily available in mathura .but for meat you have to go out of five kilo meters of mandir Area .

understandable, but.. some places your food options may be limited, other places may not serve alcohol.

not that big a deal, really.

just figure out kaha ka kya scene/rules hai before you hop to there.
