Much though I loathe Modi personally, what those three idiots did was really not acceptable.

Politics is a dirty game, where the friend becomes foe to achieve a political objective. Here the objective was to appease China as a counter measure to Indian dominance. As Muslims majority country it comes natural to bad mouth a kafir PM and country but the repercussions will be felt by common people of Maldives. Ingrates will always find something wrong in others. The North Sentinelese are unique among them because they're separated by a sea. I think Navy/CG keep it off limits to any marine traffic, passenger, commercial, fishing or private craft.

Some American midwest kid once got there, missionary, wanted to preach the Gospel.
