HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

The Kind of Negative emotions that Tejas MK1A invokes in some members is unbelievable

Why would an Airforce use Twin
Engined planes for Combat Air Patrol , a job which was earlier done by MiG 21 s for Many decades

Tejas Mk 1A is an excellent Air Defence Interceptor and we will use it patrolling our long borders

Of course it can also carry Air to Ground munitions but that task will be taken up by Mirages , Jaguars ,Sukhois and Rafales

Tejas Mk 1A with an AESA radar
And a GAN AESA DRFM JAMMER
can stop Any intruder with its BVRs and CCMs

Air Chief was speaking about TEJAS MK 2 , which will replace Mirage 2000 and MIG 29

Maybe read what he said. "too small" this joke of a plane is being terminated.

Some of you on here had delusions that countries like Brazil and Malaysia were even going to buy it, now head of IAF is saying they are moving on.

Utter utter delusions by Indians about Tejas.

Well, I have been saying it for ages now and at last even new IAF Chief confirms it, Tejas MK1A as good as dead.

"It is a little too small of an aircraft for the current situation, however, we have such a place for an aircraft and we have ordered 200 plus aircraft of this type."

As good as dead..says the troll ignoring that there are 180 Tejas Mk1As on order and about to be ordered with it being in production till 2033 at least.

All the new ACM said is that the focus for procurement will now shift to the Tejas Mk2 and AMCA.

You were a person who has at various times claimed the Tejas program will fail without entering service, that it will end at 40, that it will end at 120..all proven wrong. Lol..nothing that you have predicted has proven right.

Nice coping mechanism

My predictions

1) Order for 90 more will not be made and current order for 87 will be cancelled soon
2) Two "show pony" squadrons of MK1 and a handful of MK1A will serve on to prove "Made in India" just like Indian Army has two regiments of Arjuns for Republic Day Parade
3) As I mentioned when current IAF CAS was appointed, he knows this programme inside out and knows what HAL is like. MK2 Tejas is also a small plane, I expect this to be cancelled too in favour of AMCA
4) Any export dreams for Tejas effectively over
5) More crying by Indian posters on this forum

We and the rest of proper Airforces are transitioning to 5th Gen and these geniuses still are figuring out their 4th Gen program lol

I really actually hope they stick with MK2, nothing will suit PAF better then us all reading about HAL delivering the first Tejas MK2 A/B/C/D or whatever in 2038 as we retire all JF-17s and fully inducted all J-31s.

Total export : 11+3+3 !
Myanmar deal was a gift from China to Myanmar Junta.
If an oil rich country like Nigeria did not buy after 1st batch of 3 ! It raises certain doubts..
Does it change the fact JF-17 has 4 export customers? Or it's not battle proven? Tejas is a failed program

So PAF Already transitioned to 5th Gen !!
You have a comprehension issue, I said they "are", Pakistani Pilots are in China for doing that exactly. I didn't say PAF already has.

Maybe some schooling would have been good for ya.

Come boast about it when you develop something on it..all you can do it assemble 50% of it, or lesser.

Of the export customers, Myanmar's issues are well known. Nigeria has 3 and hasn't yet come back for more. Let's see how Armenia's experience goes. You're counting Pakistan as an export customer is it?
The issues are only well known according to Indian trash tabloids. Take a walk, you seem too pressed right now.

Imo
We have ordered just 83 mark1a as yet ...
I still think that once mark 2 flies the the order for 97 more Tejas will be cancellec or curtailed to just 40. More planes

I do believe that Tejas mark 2 will come in much larger numbers ie 200/250

Amca is the big one the fifth generation fighter that is the big project

So anti junta media should not be trusted ! By this logic all pro PTI media news should be discarded !?
How would they even know if the JF-17s are flying or not? As far as we know, Myanmar is probably not financially in a position to service any of its fighters. They are losing ground daily to rebels.

Just a nice image of a Tejas Mk1 from No.18 squadron coming in to land with all 3 drop tanks
