We can benefit. It is a question of money. Lots of money. Luckily, there is still time for platforms like the KAAN. Our goal should be to acquire cutting-edge tech while keeping it under our control and being self sufficient.

The F-35 is not a good investment IMHO. The Su-57 can barely keep up with the numbers not to mention the possibility of sanctions from the U.S. I cannot comment on the J-20. That leaves us with platforms like KAAN and the KF-21 (Korean).

Now if the Americans can however offer a decent deal, we should check. It is only a question of money and connections which we currently have the latter and hopefully we can sustain that relationship.

Even if we acquire Western origin 4th gen fighters (assuming), we will need 5th gen and above in the long run. A squadron of 5th gens should suffice initially only for specific tasks which require radar evasion. Then we finally adopt those on a more larger scale.
 
I don't know why we are insulting Turkey by speaking of involving a logistics company like BAF in KAAN. KAAN is not a cargo hauler.

If Turkey really needs to involve logistics planning support, they could collaborate with much more capable players like DHL, Fed Ex, etc.

rn i don't think america will offer bangladesh f35 whatsoever.... also 90+ million a pop bangladesh will never fly those jets even if it got hands on them.... from US f16 and f18 seems the most plausible options... maybe f15 if we get super close to them but nothing more advanced than that.

But yes, KAAN is our only hope to bring our airforce upto modern standards, or j31/35 should we choose safer option with china.

The F-35 is a last ditch option IF the Americans are willing. We can try. Though, this may materialize in say 15-20 years time. Who knows?

Fifth gen + planes with their advanced radar evading and EW capabilities, they will give us a significant edge over our much larger and powerful peers. We need every advantage we can get.

The Americans may offer the F-16 and F-18 at present and the near future if money allows. Though, I would prefer the F-15 or something of similar capability as it will cover much of our airspace security. Our current inventory is simply in a sorry state of affairs.

Much rather buy J-31 that will supercruise at high Mach 1 and have much better manouverability.

F-35 only looks good against 4th generation fighters.

A lot of these news on Youtube, there is no source.
 
Probably should hold off on any new big ticket purchases.

We need to assess what’s needed for a vision for the future before you allocate resources.

This needs to include both tactical needs and geostrategic considerations.
