Green light for Eurofighter from Germany for the Turkish Air Force

What good is a fighter that may have a kill switch if you use it against Greece? Turkey doesn't need latest NATO tech to fight PKK militia.
I think the kill switch is if NATO itself is going to bring in Turkey if Turkey attack Greece

Your fighter being able to switch off is probably your last concern if you are Turkey.

Whatever you do, buying NATO fighter, buying Chinese jet, buying Russian jet or develop your own, that really wasn't the concern here if Turkey indeed attack Greece. The case is always Turkey is being attacked or attacking another opponent other than Greece.

Strictly speaking, NATO can't get involved if Greece starts the hostilities. In reality, France and Germany would probably make up some story and blame Turkey anyway.

They know what the West can do and the risks that come with it but unlike other countries they believe they have leverage sitting between East and West. When it suits them they will threaten the E.U to unleash illegal immigrants or threaten them to take side of Russia

If Greece start the hostilities, then what's the concern of NATO putting on kill switch? If NATO put on the kill switch on Turkey even if Greece attacked first, that probably not a good thing for Turkey anyway, am I right?

I mean if NATO really do care enough to put on the kill switch and let Turkey dies, they probably care enough to do a Ukraine style aid pumping billions of aid to Greece for them to finish the job if not directly getting involved, then what's the point of the fearing of the kill switch?

RCS the F-35 wins for sure but the Euroghter would be better at aerodynamic manuverability and would have better radar than most export models, especially as Greeks would have a downgraded model. Zionist models would be same as US and UK that have the "full" version.

No the Turks are still continuing with Kaan but they need something for the next 5-10 years as it will take time to induct and then build up numbers.
Greek's supposedly downgraded Mirage 2000 shot down a Turkish F-16D in a clash in 1996. No jet fighter is close to F-35 in threat detection and engagement possibilities. F-35 has full 360 degree view of threats and can produce a lock on a missile let alone a jet fighter from a distance. F-35 EW capability alone is top-of-the-line. F-35 can jam AESA radar systems as per BAE. So what you have is a bad assumption.

No as you have not done your research.

This latest UK version Eurofighter has better than even current block US/UK/Entity radar and electronics specs.

"Typhoon fighter jets will be fitted with the world’s most advanced radar after £2.35bn of investment in the programme was approved by UK Government.

The state-of-the-art ECRS Mk2 radar is vital to Typhoon’s control of the air, and will allow the aircraft to simultaneously detect, identify and track multiple targets in the air and on the ground in the most challenging operational environments.

It also equips pilots with the ability to suppress enemy air defences using high-powered jamming and engage targets whilst beyond the reach of threats."

Whatever Greece will get will be worse.

I would not be surprised if it jams the radar on the Greek F-35s with its more advanced tech.

An AESA radar system cannot jam another AESA radar system by itself unless there is a massive disparity in size and power between the two which is not the case here. AN/APG-81 is a large and powerful radar system that the US continues to improve. It comes down to the combined EW output of the sensor systems onboard and F-35 is far ahead of Typhoon in the game with a top-of-the-line EW suite, much higher level of sensor fusion between the sensor systems, and much higher count of antennas. AN/APG-81 does not work in isolation but allow other sensors to contribute to its effects on a level not seen before.

It's much cheaper to put a kill switch than to give billions to Greece. Also, a kill switch can be much more subtle and plausibly deniable compared to openly supporting Greece or Israel. A kill switch doesn't mean the engine will suddenly shut down, it could degrade key capabilities temporarily to make the aircraft substandard while the switch is activated. Such a thing would be very hard to replicate or diagnose when the switch is deactivated.

No restrictions on German weapons slaughtering women and children in Gaza in mass.

These people are such wannabe pacifist humanitarian frauds. lol

Yep hypocrite cunts, I can't stand any of them.

Aren't these the sams Germans that round up anyone protesting against Israeli genocide in their country?

Bro they give 'free' weapons to the Israelis, check out the Dolphin class submarines they got.
The Germans are proper cucks, perhaps the greatest on the planet.

First of all, if it can be done, it's not going to be that cheap, you aren't talking about a button somewhere you can just push and all system go down, you first have to get access to remotely, it have to work with all system NATO sell to Turkey and you have to fool proof it that Turkey just can't take it out by themselves. From my computer science background, it's probably harder than you just send billions of aids.

Second, if NATO is going all out for nothing in Ukraine against Russia, which is not a NATO member, you are probably going to see NATO sending aid Greece way at least the same level, if not more, which Turkey is not Russia and Greece is in the NATO.

So it really does not make sense to worry about kill switch and not worry about NATO direct/indirect involvement.

I know how easy it is to hide things in software or firmware.

Unless someone goes through the entire software and firmware line by line, there is zero chance anyone can catch it. The kill switch can lay dormant and be activated based on any number of inputs, already preprogrammed, and possibly a trigger signal. This is trivial stuff for people who write viruses and trojan horses.

Yep it could just take data from the location of the jet and also the intended target of the missile.

They can program into the code an arbitratry longitude over which the Meteor for example would have a much reduced lethality. Extremely simple to do and no remote connectivity required.

As part of its order for F-15 fighters, Saudi Arabia has agreed not to deploy F-15s near Israel. America later approved only after Riyadh accepted the restrictions. USA send fighter jets to Saudi Arabia and then KSA station F-15s near the Gulf or Aqaba. In fact, the Turkish government will get freedom after buying weapons with Typhoon. In fact, this may be the last eight aircraft that the Turks will buy from abroad before full indigenization.

Not talking about hiding it, if you expected a kill switch to be installed, it has no point hiding it, because you are going to find out where it was as it's function related, it will stick out in the source code like a sore thumb. You only need to do a function check on the code and you can locate it, you don't need to look at all the source code, and even if you do (Let's say NATO have that level of capability on hiding stuff), it won't take a team of prog years go over all the code. I mean you have more than 1 people working right?

And it has to be protected physically (as in whatever hosting that code, otherwise they could just replace that part) and in term of encoding, which mean you can't by-pass or remove those code or they won't work. And then you need to think about constantly update it, because it won't work if you upgrade the system, and in case Turkey try to hack the code...........

This is going to be a nightmare for programmer, in fact, I don't honestly think you can do it, because too much risk associated with this, what if it accidentally trigger, how do you get access if the system is insulated. And how do you kill the function on demand and on intent when you don't want it to work and only if you do. Developing such tech would have cost billions of dollars for a working sample. it's a lot easier just not to sell Turkey those platform.....
