Looks like I underestimated the range of the cruise missiles but the point about relatively easy ability to shoot them down still stands.

As long as a site is well defended with short to medium range air defences, most if not all cruise missiles will be shot down.

Depends on the type of missile. Take the Russian skyfall cruise missile which has effectively unlimited range and can be impossible to detect and shoot down.

Egypt military is weak and pathetic same can be said about most militaries in the region. Israel is free to do what it wants whether in Syria Iraq or Lebanon.

Russia is firing 100+ Iskander a month at Ukraine and that’s not counting other BMs or CMs. Even the best IADS cannot resupply that many interceptors every month for a long conflict let alone Ukraine as a mid tier military nation (at best).
