They need to get rid of the Bofors 40 mm canon in the rear of the ship and replace it with Navab SAM or some navalized Majid 08. I think Navab would fit there.

it is not a Bofors 40 mm, but Oerlikon GDM-A naval turret with two 35mm

What’s the relevance of such turrets in 2024 and beyond?
certainly against air and naval drones together with 12.7mm- 14.5mm-20mm weapons and also as a last defense against subsonic anti-ship missiles

…and simple surface vessels. You shouldn’t be able to simply row up to the ship.

I still think navalized Majid would be better. Maybe a navalized majid with Zu23 turret. would all still fit fine. If that GDF was more like a CIWS with better tech but doubt they upgraded it to really fit an optimal CIWS role.

They are modified to launch pretty heavy jamming envoironments. IRIAF tested Fakour-90's ECM against such jamming and it still hit a Karrar target.

Seems to be a Falcon 9, Ex version. Falcon 50 has two engines. And the radome under it seems to be a radar more than a ECM equipment. ECM have long antennas and require a lot of electric energy, for that reason EF18 growlers have large pods with a small electric generator in front.
My bet (just my oppinion) It seems to be a testbed for radars (MSA/ASW). But better oppinions are accepted.
