Things are sadly in confusion, as the present Interim Government has no existence except under the existing constitution that is still in force. Even under the existing consitution, it is difficult to see what constitutional role the IG has, and how B'desh plans to overcome the vacuum caused by the failure to obtain Sk. Hasina's formal resignation.
At this moment, nobody seems to have a constitutional position other than the junior officers of the administration (civil servants), police, the judges and the courts, and the military. The Interim Government holds power equivalent to a combination of Parliament and a Ministry, but without any kind of constitutional endorsement.
I am possibly one of the very few Bangladeshis on this forum who is actually in Bangladesh.
Very concerning that I am the only one here who has openly said this so does that mean all the other Bangladeshis on this forum are outside the country?
That would also mean that I am the only Bangladeshi here who has actually suffered under the Awami League regime and the most to lose if they were to make a comeback.
No. Flags at the profile picture tell one's whereabouts.

Sheikh Hasina's plan to form an expatriate government in India

Sheikh Hasina fled to India on August 5 in the face of student uprising. His government fell. At around 11 o'clock in the night, the president addressed the nation with the chief of the three forces. Sahabuddin said that the former Prime Minister submitted his resignation letter to him and he accepted it.
However, recently the President said in a media that he has no written resignation of the Prime Minister. Due to the absconding, it has been decided to form an interim government on the advice of the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, after two months of Sheikh Hasina's escape, various media reported that Awami League is taking steps to form a government in exile. On the other hand, there was a protest rally and torch march in Comilla city last Saturday night in protest of the formation of the expatriate government in India.
Hasnat Abdullah, the central coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, said that Hasina, the murderer, has not escaped. Conspiracy against the country continues. In the meantime, we have received news that some leaders and workers of Awami League have gathered in Tripura across the Comilla border. Former MP Bahar and his daughter are sitting there plotting.
He also said that we want to tell them in clear terms that their conspiracy and mischief will never succeed on the soil of Bengal. If the brokers of fascism, Chhatra League, Jubo League, Tokai League, try to rehabilitate anywhere in Bangladesh, they will be suppressed with a strong hand.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Rubel, a member of the campaign committee of Awami League who fled to India and a member of the Sheikh family, said that Awami League is going to form an expatriate government in India with Sheikh Hasina as its head. He said, yesterday we had a virtual meeting in India. It was decided to form an expatriate government, which will be represented by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. According to the constitution of Bangladesh, he is still the prime minister of Bangladesh.
However, Sheikh Rubel avoided the Indian government's permission on the expatriate government issue. He said that we can't do anything without their cooperation. However, we are moving forward strategically so that the good relations between the two countries are maintained.
Meanwhile, when some senior Awami League leaders were asked about the formation of the expatriate government, they did not acknowledge the issue but did not want to say anything clearly.

Any of the moderators can confirm whether I am in Bangladesh or not. The point is I am the only one who has admitted to being here so is no other Bangladeshis on this forum actually in Bangladesh. That would explain a lot.
She can rule over the BAL loyalists who fled to India post August 5.
On a serious note - every attempt being made to push Bangladesh into a civil war.
No one need to come out and additionally admit if he is in BD or not. Country of the Residence flag already tells it. Administrators can track the IP to determine one's whereabouts. I am in Dhaka (as was always) and they know it.

Anandabazar Patrika jumped on this very quickly. The paper has tended to avoid the subject of Bangladesh since August 5 until now ...

Sheikh Hasina left Bangladesh on August 5. Almost three and a half months have passed since then. Bangladesh army chief Waqar-uz-Zaman said Hasina has resigned from the post of prime minister. But Hasina-Putra Jay claimed that his mother did not resign before leaving the country. Three and a half months have passed. An interim government has also been formed. But did Hasina resign at all? Even after three and a half months, the controversy did not end. Bangladesh President Mohammad Shahbuddin claims that Hasina has resigned - she does not have any documentary evidence.
Shahbuddin said this in a private interview given to the Bangladeshi newspaper 'Manavzamin'. According to the president of Bangladesh, Hasina did not tell him anything before leaving the country. He also questioned Chief of Army Staff Walker about this. However, the president claimed that Walker could not tell him anything clearly. According to Shahbuddin, Waqar also informed that he had heard Hasina had resigned. However, Walker assumed that Hasina did not have time to inform the President. Later, a cabinet secretary went to the president to collect a copy of Hasina's resignation letter. Even then the President could not give any documents to the Secretary. The President said at that time, he is also looking.
According to Article 57(a) of the Constitution of Bangladesh, the Prime Minister has to resign by sending a letter of resignation to the President. The moment you resign, the Prime Minister's office will be vacant. Recently in that interview, the President of Bangladesh said that around 10:30 am on August 5, a phone call came from the Prime Minister's residence to Bangabhaban (President's residence). It was then said that the then Prime Minister Hasina would come to Bangabhaban to meet the President. Preparations like that had started in Bangabhaban. But within an hour the call came again. It was informed on the second phone that Hasina is no longer going to Bangabhaban.
However, in the words of President Shahbuddin, "There is no debate on this issue. It is true that the Prime Minister has left. So that no question ever arises in this regard, the opinion of the Supreme Court has also been taken.ā Incidentally, on August 8, the bench led by the Chief Justice of the Bangladesh Supreme Court gave its opinion in favor of the formation of the interim government. It was informed that this step could be taken to close the constitutional loophole.
Yes but some in and outside the IG but connected or linked to it are also trying to do this and push the country into civil war ...
