Changfei, the manufacturer of the Z-10 series, is very poor and not as rich as CAC/SAC. They desperately need cash support ................. LOL

Oh. Actually, in terms of saving money, ceramic armor doesn't need to be installed as a factory upgrade. Some private companies in China specialize in ceramic armor, and they usually export to other countries, including a lot of famous international military companies who go to them to order ceramic armor. It would be very much cheaper for PA to go directly to them to source custom ceramic armor.

Out of all of Pakistan's military acquisitions since 2008, only the attack helicopter replacement appears to be the most problematic. But strangely, there doesn't seem to be much urgency.
