PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

The combat capability of the first generation KF21 is not on the same level as that of the J35. According to the development prospects, South Korea will at least move on to the next stage, which is to develop a stealth missile compartment version of the KF21, making it a true fifth generation aircraft. India has such waiting time, why not ask the United States to sell F35, or develop AMCA themselves, or join the Rafale F5 program
Hi,

Well the combat capability of the first batch of F35 was not the same as it is today.

For india to ask for the F35---india has to put its pride and sovereignty at stake---and I don't think india is willing to do that---.

Not forgetting that the F-35 will need to be data linked to entire Indian air defence network, radars and other fighters. Unless you are operating an entire ecosystem F-35 will be a liability rather then an asset.
Please also note that each time F-35s are taken out even for taxing a new "code" is required! And, this code is "randomly" generated from a server located in the USA. Even the kids at the day care center have less supervision....

if India buy F-35A then that will be great match between Chinese and American technologies

I don't think India will get the F35 with S400's plus will India hand over
their foreign policy to the Americans?

There was a time when India lobbied against Pakistan F16 and successfully
blocked the sale. Its karma coming back to bite them up the @rse.

It seems F-35s have enabled 2FA with a cellphone in the USA.

Bharat has got nuclear assets. F-35s are like a "flying computer" with tons of secret sniffing capabilities. For a reason the Turkish General Staffs have got ridden of F-35s by purchasing their antidote S-400s that have given the Turkish engineers an access to the epitome of the Russian engineering genius, especially regarding the long range detection and interception. It's like killing two birds with one stone....

*Turkey is developing her own FGFs and long range AD systems.

At the end of the day, you regret for all the favors you've received from the Western Imperialists, and all the favors you have given to them.....

So, don't ask for any favors from them, and try to avoid them as much as possible. President Trump will take it to the next level in his next term....

Hi,

Off course it is similar---. If it is a 5th gen---then it has to be very very similar to the F35 in shape and form.

Geometry don't lie and there are no two ways a bout it.

Hi,

And in my language---we call it a " Kill Switch".

Hi,

Here is the thing with the F35---it is telling you a lots of stuff---but you are clueless as to what it is sending to its home base---.

So---india is very very welcome to the F35's.

Don't underestimate indian ability to work with so many different systems. It's a by-product they have for all their confussions and lack of long term procurement policy till now.
not underestimating anyone but with so many platforms, systems from different suppliers, they were borned defiecient.

In my personal and most likely very unpopular opinion…
I don’t think PAF should buy J35(previously called J31) unless it comes at the same price per unit as the J10…which is unlikely.

Personally I have wanted PAF to acquire twin engine jets for a very long time…so it can have the ability to strike deep(if needed)…but if wishes were horses…

…I say this out of practicality…right now IAF has been falling behind in their squadron strength and other than outright purchasing more Rafales…or somehow coming up with a good amount of GE engines for their Tejas…there doesn’t seem to be anything on the horizon in the short term.
…even these aren’t really short term…it would take at least 5 years to have more new Rafales or Tejas in a meaningful number.

This opportunity can be used to allocate the available funds in a more meaningful way than buying a shiny new toy…a 5th gen fighter while the adversary is quite further out from having that.

…some possibilities are purchase more J10s(bcuz those F16s will be getting old in the next decade and afterwards).
…produce more JF17 block IIIs

Or a combination of the above…to basically have the squadron strength PAF wants…if the old legacy jets are to be phased out.

Most likely JF17s and J10s cost less per unit than J35…this means the extra money can be used to build more indigenous capabilities like SAM systems, munitions, and whatever level of participation in KAAN is(subsystems?).

Alternatively Pakistan as a country…could focus more on building its economy while tightening the belt a bit on defense spending.

Yes yes…hate me all u want…but I personally wouldn’t go buy a Lamborghini over let’s say buying a house and a Toyota Corolla.
…all I’m saying is that if PAF has breathing room…it should use it for longer term gains.
