Russia *OPEN TO PEACE* deal with Ukraine with Trump in office

You live in UK. What is UK annual budget ?

Yes I live in UK.

Forget annual budget and think of what it produces and consumes.

Debt as proportion of GDP is now around 100% and government deficit is 5% of GDP. This cannot continue on current trajectory.

UK is living on borrowed money and is going to raise taxes by the highest amount for decades next April to try to plug the gap between spending and borrowing. Otherwise money markets will stop lending it more money unless it tries to balance the budget.

In actuality UK is a bankrupt country. Giving money to Ukraine is a luxury it cannot afford.

You make it sound like Russia is any better. Take away the hydrocarbons Russia is a bigger mess.

The annual budget is more than $1 trillion. Giving $20 billion to Ukraine to tie up the Russian army seems like a no-brainer to me. Giving $20 billion to British weapon manufacturers and sending the weapons to UK seems even better

You are living on the dole in UK and you say Europeans have no money
They have a $20 trillion economy

Why are you getting your Hindu panties in a twist?

Ukraine has been seriously struggling for money, Europe hasn't stepped up

They are more then welcomed to try and replace tens of billions to continue funding Ukraine but their are massive costs and issues In their home states

In the UK they are cutting the winter fuel allowance for pensioners, if they do this and then spend billions more in Ukraine they will cause a major internal crises
I'm sure other European countries are the same

Russia has almost achieved their war aim of freeing the Donbass from the Ukes
If Ukraine wants to slaughter their own soldiers In a meat grinder, go for it

But Russia has hydrocarbons and their economy is growing much faster than the UK that is testering in recession. No point saying they would be worse without hydrocarbons.

Do you have any idea how much anxiety there is in the UK with the largest tax rises for decades when the economy is so poor anyway? Businesses are saying they may have to cut thousands of jobs as they cannot afford to pay the increased employment costs.

This country is PRACTICALLY BANKRUPT. It does not have 20 billion to give to anyone.

If the UK suddenly finds 20 billion, it needs to spend it on services or pensioners

Not giving it to some Ukrainian war effort led by a Zionist

These people are fools if they think Europe can bare the costs of this conflict without the U.S

And if the orange boob cuts funding it's over for Ukraine and the lost a million men for nothing

Trump will simply cut the money to Ukraine, this is Russia's best chance to screw Ukraine and NATO over with the orange boob back in the White house
He can't. Deals have been signed, and Ukraine has already been promised billions for a few years. Until then, the EU will get its shit together and step up.

Not much Trump and his future regime can actually do, Biden's administration made sure of that.

If Russia thinks it will win now that Trump is in office, they're mistaken.

Russia is short on manpower and weapons, with very few sources to replenish them. The Pentagon smells blood, and will sabotage Trump's efforts to get Kyiv to surrender.

To be honest the next 12-18 months is already funded and paid for.

Trump cannot say "STOP" and the war stops just like that. Democrats made sure that Ukraine will get what it needs in the first year of Trump Presidency.

What is likely to happen is that even with Democrats winning, Russia would still defeat Ukraine either by surrender to Putin's demands to complete collapse. Ukraine is pretty much on the edge now and is close to being defeated.

In essence Trump has NOTHING to offer Putin.

Sure, but if Trump kicks up a fuss or refuses to support the war effort or puts pressure on zekensky to make peace by giving up land
Then Ukraine won't be able to continue the effort and others will follow trumps footsteps

Yet UK allows all the deadbeats from Pakistan, Middle East and Africa to sit here

With solar and electric vehicles on their way hydrocarbon revenues are diminshing. Yeah it is yielding money for now. The money is going away.

Everyone knows it. including Russia .

The Saudis know it. That is why they are blind to Netanyahu's actions.

The Iranians know it which is why they have responded to Israeli killings on their soil.

That will take decades and you still need oil for plastics and transportation such as planes.

With increased living standards don't assume that overall oil and gas usage will come down.

Correct. With the 3rd world rapidly advancing, especially in Africa, use of oil and gas is likely going to increase. Electric and hydrogen powered vehicles are still nowhere near the levels they need to be for wide spread adoption by the lower and middle classes. From initial costs, to insurance costs, to simply not having the long enough range (causing range anxiety) to complete with traditional gas-engine vehicles, gas will continue to rule for the next 50 years at least. We're not gonna switch fully before the end of this century, perhaps not even the middle of next (unless we get a huge revolution in battery technology).

Trump won't be able to do anything to "kick up a fuss". Zelensky giving up at this point would result in Zelensky being dragged to a town square and lynched by his own military.

Again, Ukraine has enough funds to last a few years, and the EU (plus allies) has the time to find a solution for Trump.

Let's hope so, seeing dead Ukrainians makes me feel better after what they have done in Gaza

EVs are already outselling gas cars in China, saying the world won't switch until the end of the century is pretty far fetched and saying that they won't switch until the middle of next is just downright crazy. In 20-30 years, no one will be buying gas cars except people in dirt poor countries like India/Pakistan/BD and African countries.
