Can you share more proof that it was Jaish Al Adl and if they indeed were then Pakistan should have taken action against them. Regarding Pakistan being aware or not, they didn't know about Osama so what can you expect.

Pakistan can wipe Iran off the face of the earth. It doesn't need to waste time fighting a conventional war it can't win.

Indians (with a far stronger military than Iran) have understood this and backed off.
