Incredibly stupid steps from Iran. First the brazen attack which killed children. Then the audacity to claim they only killed terrorists and not Pakistanis.

Iraq and Pakistan have both recalled their ambassadors, which will only increase Irans diplomatic isolation.

My impression is that domestic pressure and frustration in Iran is growing post the Sulemaini tomb bombing. The IRGC needed to show it was able to retaliate. Now the foreign ministry is cleaning up their mess.

What's happening with Afghanistan or India? How are those borders hot i.e. conflict ridden. There is a ceasefire on the LOC for quite a while, the Afghan border for the most part is quiet and do remember they have very tense relations with Iran.

Agree but things can change in a moment , last month there was exchange in Rajauri district and with deportations of Afghans relations are not best.

Also don’t underestimate if Pakistan is busy in conflict with Iran other two can do misadventures, they are enemies.

No they won't change because major powers also have vested interests here , you know the USA and Gulf nations, so India won't do anything. The Afghans a few months back attacked Iranian posts.

And I kind of agree with you as India does not need any reason for escalation specially for political reason as many Pakistani implied.

That is why I think Iran did very stupid act , no reason to provoke Pakistan specially when Iran and Yemen are tangled against western world.

All Pakistan needs to do is wipe out their nuclear sites and put Iran back in their place.

Let’s be realistic . We do not have the money to fight a long war. And no one wants a long war . What is needed is a proportional response to Iranian aggression. If we let to go , they will do it again as will other countries .
