It's unlikely rebels planned to go farther than Aleppo. But seems they have local connections and can take over some new territory. Which can be used for negotiations or they can try going farther and causing a popular uprising. That could happen if they take over Homs and try going towards Damascus.

Israel either way will corner whoever has upper hand and manipulate the situation with the US and Kurds which control part of country. It's premature to think there will be strategic long term outcome from the current offensive.

Also believe it or not, not everyone is on same page and not everyone is willing to foot bill/men/resources once again, without something to gain. The assumption that Iran and Hezbollah and others will immediately jump in with everything isn't true, either.

Because they are terrorists. Why do you consider kurds as terrorists, only because they are a threat to Turkey? In Syria HTS is the biggest terrorist organisation. The SNA are not, I consider them rebels except Muslim Brotherhood, the reason is they caused cival wars in many Muslim countries.
Hizbollah was created to defend Lebanon and fight Israel which they have proven for the last 40 years.

The Kurdish rebels don't want democracy but own state, they will build close partnership with Iraqi Kurdi state, in the future when the timing is right they can easily declare an Independent Kurdish state.

If their is democracy in Turkey then allow 20M Kurdish population the right to vote for independence.
