Pakistan UAVs News & Discussions

Do you think this thing will fly and achieve the operational and flight parameters that GIDS is advertising?
NESCOM could also iterate on the Shahpar-III across a few sub-generations (e.g., Shahpar III Block-2, Block-3, etc). So, we may see this platform kick around for many years and, gradually, get better as (hopefully) our industrial capacity and competency improve.

This platform needed a better engine that can take its weight carrying capacity to 1000+ kg it also need a radar plus redesign it's eots relocation. Nevertheless a good effort and a pretty decent platform with variety of weapon options

At the rate our military industry is advancing we might see something like this in service by the end of the decade.

It's only a matter of time before this happens now

Any specs on this? Is it meant for UAVor fighters or both? Looks similar to Denel Raptor III or even Baykar Kemankes 1 ALCM for UAVs. Would not be surprised if it is the same based on one of these. Im not sure denel ever produced Raptor 3 however.

Would be great to have a similar speced a2g jet assisted glide munitions for akinci and Shahpar 3 (if and when they get produced). A 290km+ strike weapon off numerous UAV would make such swarms very dangerous on a cross border incident with india. Not only will UAVs and fighter be in the air with special mission craft causing electronic havoc, but if numerous glide munitions are deployed from said aircraft it could further make it difficult for air defense, overwhelming Indian air defenses. This would allow long range strike from UAV under cover of fighter and long range air defense inside Pakistan, without actually needing to cross the border or LOC as well. The key to this however is swarms. Need at least 100 MALE UAV and 200-300 short range UAVs in addition to thousands of loitering munitions (KaGem V3, Rasoob, Sarkash-1) and kamikaze style drones. I get the impression they only manufacture 20 or 30 samples of these rather than the thousands needed.

Pakistani military conducts strikes using unmanned aerial combat vehicles on mountain cave hideout of TTP-FAK terrorist tashkeel (group/cell) in the Shah Hassan Khel mountain range in Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Resultantly, 6 terrorist combatants were eliminated.
