HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

Well , According to the Video

Progress is Happening

Roll out and First flight are on Schedule

Iron Bird Tests have commenced

Engine deal delayed the Final Government Approval

404 delays were responsible for Delay in Government approval
Since Government of India wanted Local Manufacturing of 414

Hope I have cleared some doubts

Blah blab blah ... 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡

First caught red-handed lying and then instead of having the balls to admit this fact you come up with stupid excuses like "it's progress anyway", "it's the Tejas thread after all" ... and now excuses why there's no real progress in production because "so-and-so is to blame!"

Slow progress is also progress

Anyway we will get more information in Aero India In February

Time flies very fast

Before 2014 , Tejas programme was languishing

In 10 years we have come a LONG way , so let us be positive and look forward

I must admit, I only rushed thru it but where is there any assembly progress showing a Tejas Mk.2?
Various Tenders related to mk 2 were released recently and that's why the said youtuber made a video explaining to people in layman's terms that there has been some progress

Why are tender specifications being posted? How do these represent progress?

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That's what it's all about.

Nothing to do with technology. Nothing to do with defence. It's a series of excuses to cover for the hopeless failures of their favourite.

I said BEFORE 2014

After 2014 , it was put back on track By Mr Parrikar

All progress and programmes move forward in India only because of Political support and push

That is true for both Central and State Governments

AMCA ,TEDBF CATS warrior,, GHATAK UCAV and MK 2 and MK 1A have been pushed all By the Present Government

The increase in Defence exports and the whole Aatmnirbharta campaign is a huge achievement of OUR PM

MK2 has been tested in ONERA facility in France
No, it has not.

You clearly know nothing about what is going on, and are just floundering around, trying to create an illusion of progress and ability to keep to schedule.

Models of the air intake have been tested, not the aircraft, not even in model form, at ONERA.

Let's wait for Aero India 25

We will get lots of information

...and we are testing the air intake in 2023.

Perhaps he should have selected different tracks?

The point is that we are being asked to read tender documents, and are told this is progress.

AMCA ,TEDBF CATS warrior,, GHATAK UCAV and MK 2 and MK 1A have been pushed all By the Present Government
Again, a reminder - these are such technically incompetent people, and so intent on graft on defence deals, that nothing has actually moved. We buy huge amounts of shiny new toys, and are unable to show a single, composite brigade-level battle group. We spend fortunes on publicity, and haven't managed to form additional artillery divisions beyond what we started with. We have dropped way behind the minimum squadron strength needed to tackle even the PAF, and talk in self-confident tones about atmanirbharata.

Why don't you stick to enumerating the progress made by atmanirbharata?

And why don't you figure out that with atmanirbharata, we still can't equip our Army with a superior tank made years before 2014? We still don't make conventional diesel engines to power our naval vessels? We still can't make sufficient turbo-prop planes to allow our transport fleet the flexibility and numbers they need? We still do not have air defence systems that can guard our skies adequately?

What are you even talking about?

The increase in Defence exports and the whole Aatmnirbharta campaign is a huge achievement of OUR PM
Don't you think that ensuring that we have adequate equipment and adequate personnel planning for our own defence should come before exports?

These docs are publicly available, anyone can access them so I don't think I did anything wrong here
Nothing wrong; just a waste of effort. What do they mean in terms of equipment in the hands of our soldiers, sailors and airmen?

They represent progress because they show ADA folks are working
They could be working 24 x 7 and nothing might emerge. You are mixing up Input with Output. They are different things. This government is huge on Input. Period.

Those tender specifications are what exactly that Video was talking about

Iron Bird tests
Was that the question? The question was why a video on tender specifications misrepresented as progress? Why are the Iron Bird tests, first developed at the early stages of the Tejas project, forget about Mk 2, now being proudly displayed as progress?
