HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

Great!
I received some news regarding the Tejas mk1A airframes!
6+2 are in ready state just waiting for engine integration, and there will be at least 14 in the same state at the time of start delivery of engines (they will be out and rolling in couple of weeks)
Can you confirm?

India should acquire a bunch of engines. And don’t start any manufacturing of any unit until the engine is available.

Engines are arriving in March, the third production line in nasik is getting ready by april.

With each production line producing minimum 8 aircrafts we are looking at 1 squadron a year from 2025 onwards.

your news could be true.

2 production lines could not deliver a single plane in the last 3 years. 3 production lines will not change this.

HAL Tejas project is in the bizarre situation of managing to make more production lines in the last three year then actual aircraft. I cannot believe I am typing this....

It’s simple the engines have not arrived this is the only reason deliveries couldn’t be done.

Nothing to do with production limits in HAL.

By 2025 atleast 1 squadron per year will be delivered.

Why worry when you have that great Chinese JF-17 😅

This may be why India can’t produce a single LCA this year. India LCA project is now subjected to US sanctions. :)

further, we have enough Aircrafts in our inventory, we dont wait for LCA. we also find Mig35s were winning in MRCA deal.....
here is the list of Indian Air Force, we have "Super Sukhoi" SU30mki as our Top Gun :coffee:

.
=> At the fourth position stands the Indian Air Force (IAF) with an impressive number of over 2,296 aircraft. This consists of approximately 606 fighter jets, including the famous Sukhoi Su-30 MKI, along with persistent efforts being put into the advancement process, such as the induction of the HAL Tejas. The Indian Air Force’s powerful helicopter fleet moreover strengthens its functional capabilities in the region.

.

=>

further, along with our 'Super Sukhoi' Su30s as Top Gun in our inventory, here we find "Air Superiority" characteristics of Mig35s are better than Rafale. the A2G operations of low priced Mig35s is also found better than 'Gripen' type MRCA contenders :coffee:

Russia keen to sell MiG-35 to IAF

MiG-35 is a piece of junk compared to the Rafale. Russia is inferior in semiconductor technology. There is no way to get around that

sir, its now written on walls that Rafale has inferior "Air Superiority" characteristics than even low priced Mig35s.
which then means, Rafale won't be easily cross international border to enter Pak-China.... and even if they success, it then has less chance to back. hence, its operation is supposed to be limited within Indian territory similar to LCAs :coffee:

with that, Mig35s are also proved to have the A2G operations at least above "Sab Gripen", one of MRCA contender. the twin engine Mig35s also have comparable price to Gripen, while the Rafale is too expansive with "less worth" .........

whose walls ? French have access and capability to build far superior avionics than the Russians

Indian military evaluated MiG-35, F-16, F/A-18, Rafale, Typhoon and Su-35 in a long competition

The delta between upgraded MiG-29s in the Indian air force and brand new MiG-35s is not huge

Shooting the messenger is not a good argument.

Self-sufficient maybe. The quality of their goods is subpar. Indian Tejas is a failure, Russia has no viable stealth plane, Iran..

If you remove India and Iran from the equation Russia alone remains a third pole in the world. What do they need from India and/or Iran?

we are Mig29s, Super Sukhoi Su30s, Mig35s, Su35 aircrafts which are superior to 4.5 gen aircrafts of US-West with training of our pilots....

note down, USA deceived Israel by supplying F35 while 4++ 'F15' for Saudia is worth for its price....

with our credible training for Indian pilots, the 'Super Sukhoi' Su30mki handsomely defeat any 4++ aircraft of US-west. while 5th gen aircrafts like F35 are hardly 'not worth' for its price :)
