Pakistan UAVs News & Discussions

Pakistani military conducts strikes using unmanned aerial combat vehicles on mountain cave hideout of TTP-FAK terrorist tashkeel (group/cell) in the Shah Hassan Khel mountain range in Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Resultantly, 6 terrorist combatants were eliminated.

I always I hear about these "UCAV" Strikes only for them to be just QC attacks.

Pakistan's TB-2 UCAV eliminated 12 TTP militants, yesterday, in a precision strike Ghariyom in North Waziristan.

Why wasn't Shahpar put to the test in the battlefield? Why use TB-2 when we could've battle tested our own equipment? We have the Burq for this very reason (against personnel) and our own UCAV. A missed opportunity at the least.

Once TB2s get airborne it means the end of the proxies, no matter how long they're there, or how much they've been armed and trained....

According to a Turkish defense analyst, Mete Yarar, during a NATO exercise involving different UAVs along Poland-Ukraine-Belorussia border they came under intense Russian EW/EA bouts. Other than TB2s all others had to abort their mission....

Shpar2/3 need to adopt TB2/Akinji capabilities fast, so that they can be deployed in a very large number. Then, it'll be like a game over like what's happening to PKK/YPG/PYD etc. Compared to them, TTP isn't explicitly supported by the West and Russia with their troops guarding the terrorists on the ground and air force in the air. So, it'll be much easier for Pak in this regard....

Presenting the MP-170 SLAM (self-aware loitering air-munition).

MP-170 is a tube-launched, folding wing loitering munition which is capable of being launched either individually or as a swarm of up to 12 drones from a multi-barrel launcher. Additionally, it has the flexibility to be air-dropped from motherships such as the Woot Tech's AlienX or JuggerNaut.

Equipped with artificial intelligence and the computer vision, it excels in both terminal phase guidance and searching targets autonomously. A formidable presence on the battlefield, all enemy combatants fear

I think it would probably be better if Pakistan wait until kizilelma B or C are available.
Something like this should've actually been the intended goal of AZM/PFX.

Basically, the PAF (via NASTP, PAC, etc) should've started with a 1-2-ton attritable UCAV, and then gradually move towards a larger design (similar to the Bayraktar Kizilelma).

What’s this AlienX or JuggerNaut mothership mentioned here? A very interesting project nonetheless. A 12 drone swarm can neutralise or overwhelm any air defense so this is a huge capability.

Plus armored, artillery, command centers etc. If your enemy can't destroy them it means a tactical defeat on that front. As for Bharat, it also means an operational shock leading to a strategic paralysis nullifying the Hindutva political will. As for their "social media", it can never be stoped though! Remember 02-27 and Galwan.....

The 1 bilion$ question is how to counter the enemy swarm attack in an affordable manner that can safeguard your sparsely moving and static detachments at the field? Well, the ASELSAN KORKUT system, firing programmable 35mm air burstsble rounds (supported by AI accelerated 3D low altitude radars to track and control the firing) to generate a cloud of sharpnels in the air blocking the drones, on tracked and wheeled platforms has shown its prowess in the Northern Iraq. The PKK/YPG tried their luck with Ukraine-style drones attacks against the Turkish positions, but to no avail.....

Yea .... No. There have been several FPV attacks against Turkish forces including on mraps etc. Korkut is a very expensive piece of equipment and you cannot field them in the dozens, and Korkut isn't some Out of this world tech. PA already has GDF guns modified to fire Atom rounds which are perfect for CUAS, if PA is able to just slap these guns onto a Actros 6x6 and pair them with a NRTC NB1, that would be roughly the same capability ad korkut but at much Lower cost for higher echelons .... While for cost effective CUAS for smaller bases use you need smaller 4x4 mounted 25mm or 30mm Low recoil cannons with airburst rounds.

Why not develop an indigenous system that is more modern and also more cost effective which we can pump out in the hundreds?
