Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

"Everything was banned. You're just allowed to eat and drink and sleep and die," says Qasem.

The BBC's guide says his fingers were chopped off as torture
Punishments at Saydnaya were frequent and brutal.

All of the people we spoke to described being beaten with different implements - metal staffs, cables, electric sticks.

"They would enter the room and start to beat us all over our bodies. I would stay still, watching and waiting for my turn," Adnan, who was arrested in 2019 on accusations of kidnapping and killing a regime soldier, recalls.

"Every night, we would thank God that we were still alive. Every morning, we would pray to God, please take our souls so we can die in peace."

Adnan and two of the other newly released inmates said they were sometimes forced to sit with their knees towards their foreheads and a vehicle tyre placed over their bodies with a stick wedged inside so they couldn't move, before beatings were administered.

Forms of punishment were varied.

Qasem says he was held upside down by two prison officers in a barrel of water until he thought he was going to "choke and die".

"I saw death with my own eyes," he says. "They would do this if you woke up in the night, or we spoke in a loud voice, or if we had a problem with any of the other prisoners."
Poor head chopper!

More proof that neither the US expected this to happen nor wanted it to happen.

And now is adjusting on the fly.

There was a deal in place via the Emiratis to ditch Iran and Hezbollah in exchange for Sanctions relief for Assad and investments from the GCC.

Trump is hardly likely to be "in the know" till very recently and the US always lies to fool the gullible.

This is Turkey doing a "service" to Zio-US.

He is in the know and just doesn´t like the SDF he wanted to pull out last time.

He has business in Turkey! I believe he has hotels in Istanbul

Context of timing ....when this was said is important

Old news , this was stated before Israel moved forces into Golan Heights

Syria has established interim Government officials to handle affairs of nation first , they have not yet decided approach to Israel

Olive branch was extended earlier but then Israel attacked Golan Heights and moved in forces there and bombed Syria right after

Even broken clock shows correct time twice a day.

I am tired explaining that turks have to play along the "rules" in order to play at all. Did you ever think what it would mean for them to obstruct private signed contracts and for their credibility? I mean i would cut the oil first day but would would be achievement, destroyed credibility and bussiness reputation while they jews would get oil anyway from other sources.
Emotionally driven politics leads to the bad outcomes and turks proved in last decades that they are true friends of Palestine but they are not super power without limitations and people should learn to respect that.
With friends like the turks, Palestinians don't need enemies!

This dude is not even a Turk and he is trying to defend the indefensible like the Turks.

At least they are Turks and are trying to excuse their nation's behaviour as it reflects badly on them personally but this dude comes from Bosnia!

Question(off track but .. ) - in all of Hezb attacks on Israel, why did they never attempt to attack Ammunition dumps ? Seems like a good target that would have hurt Israel and the optics of it aswell would be uncomfortable for israel. Appreciate some ammunition dumps would be underground, but surely not all ?

They don't have the technology or weapon accuracy to do this. Israel has planned and stored it's ammo securely. To top it off, Israel's offensive capability is extremely potent with USAF & RAF providing surveillance operations from Cypus/Turkey & Arab countries as well as satellite monitoring. I'm sure if the resistance had this capability, their attacks would have been more potent.

We want to be friends with Israel but if Israel keeps nuking us and making our asses bleed, that’s not very nice.

No need to reply to layman who don´t understand difference between state actors and non-state actors

That is fair statement. Israel has not stroke any army depots belonging to the Rebels, their positions, formations or personale.

Israel is bombing hidden depots and the coordinates are being provided by guess who Assad and Russia example like last night when Russia exited it´s base it told Israel to bomb the depots it couldn´t take with them.

There is clear descalation between the two. Israel won´t go after the arms the rebels brought with them from Turkey, nor their weaponry and nor in the future nor there positions.

Israel has not targetted one HTS or SNA member not like Iranian generals who were fair game.

Iran has deluded people Hezbollah and Hamas role aren´t to attack Israel but act as force multiplier to the future would be claimer this is what they didn´t understand. If Iran doesn´t understand war tactics at all it is their problem but believe in one rocket fired here and there.. wars are won conventionally.

You launch when you know you can finish your meal but never leave it half empty
