Heavy submarines likely refers to Fateh as I believe 2 or 3 more are in production.

Capability to launch CMs has been around for a long time via Jask-1 and Jask-2.

I’m curious if this is true. This account has been known to publish fake headlines or propaganda, so im wondering if there has been any official update on Persian Gulf Destroyer.

Wow. A elevator makes a great difference comparing this ship to any other mother ship like IRIN Makran.

Note there are three pairs of bulges each side of the carrier deck. That seems to be for arresting wires. But again. Neither Sepah nor Artesh have or tested any carrier capable UAV. And you need a high lift wing and very strong landing gear to make it suitable for carrier operations. From Predator family to Gray Eagle STOL UAV you can see a new wing, ailerons, engine and landing gear, making it unrecognizable. Gray Eagle STOL UAV are equipped with a RR M250 450 hp engine (turboprop).

Extrapolating that configuration to any possible iranian UAV, the only achievable UAV with enough engine power to make a new naval version should be the Shahed 149 Gaza, who have a 650 hp turprop.

S129 it is too small and underpowered, like Mohajer 6. Maybe Kaman 22 but depends on the engine and wing also. It is too early IMO.

You forget you can catch drones by net or parachute. Parachute the drone needs to be sealed from salt water interference and quickly recovered. But it is possible as we seen with space rockets and return capsules. Net is easier for smaller class drones like Mohajer and Ababil maybe even S-129.

Iran also has some VTOLs and working on more. There was one Iranian drone recently delivered to armed forces that was not allowed to be filmed in its delivery ceremony according to a press reporter that covers these events.

Either way the main key will be how they communicate with these drones when lacking Sat comm. The carrier tower might be equipped with powerful ground based receivers, but that will still limit the range to a few hundred KM at best.

you welcome to try build a career capable shahed-149

Unclear what the source of it being offered to the navy is, but we have seen recently that the military likes to buy from others what we produce ourselves.

It is a very good addition for the fleet... Of IRGCN. It fits like a shoe in the IRGCN doctrine. It is small, very well armed and suites perfectly in a A2/AD scenario.

Unlike the Solemaini class, the Karakurt has a Mineral ME radar, capable of targeting OTH long range anti-ship missiles. Also they have a powerful short range AESA radar capable of antiaerial saturation attacks. Their VLS are capable of operating their feared Kalibr missiles (very long range attack) ...so it is a very worrying addition to IRGCN fleet for the Gulf monarchies...

...But again, this ship It is not suitable for long range oceanic deployments. The minimum for IRIN should be a Stereguischyv corvette for oceanic deployments.

Looking nice. Many underestimate the value of these kinds of conversions but given Iran's asymmetric strategi to defence this will prove many people wrong. Construction of superheavy militarygrad naval vessels is not an easy task. Just ask Russia. This is the extent of Iran's military-technical and economic ability at present but things will change. IMHO this is a very cost-effective solution. I for one can't wait to see it deployed!
