Do we know how much more runway length is required without the brake chute??

Depends on where you touch down and your landing speed. Chutes are deployed just to be safe from overshooting the runway otherwise there's enough length. Can easily vacate via 2/3 exit

I know it would be a lot longer, especially for delta wing fighters, but ceramic brakes have come a long way.

Mainly to save money. As far as I know, the J10C should have ceramic brakes. The drag parachute can increase the brake life, after all, it can be recycled.

I understand that it’s to save the lifespan of the brakes, but if that space is freed up, that space could be used for a jammer or other defensive equipment.

It’s likely they were not used for any offensive purposes. Unfortunately , rumor mills have been grinding overtime
