Maybe it will be called the JH-XX until It’s official designation is released? Would you say the smaller scale version was the prototype for the past few years, similar to have blue for the F-117?

Btw, any chance this plane uses more than 2 engines? Perhaps three or even four, considering its size? Or perhaps a larger size engine, perhaps derived from the WS-20 being developed for the Y-20? Hence the more conventional intakes?

The Chengdu design is a three-engine aircraft, while the Shenyang design is a twin-engine aircraft. The Chengdu design is very large, while the Shenyang design is slightly smaller. The Chengdu design has a delta wing, while the Shenyang design has a swept-back wing. Like the J-20 and J-35, they could be used for different purposes

But that’s the debate that’s gonna ensue again, considering the delta design.
It will probably only be laid to rest when the US NGAD, with a similar layout, takes to the air and gets designated a fighter aircraft.
Btw, to borrow the B-2’s motto. This plane will also be able to say “If you see it, It wasn’t meant for you”
