The major different between 5th and 6th gen aircraft is in its material science, I believe the term being use is called "Adaptive Airframe" which basically mean the airframe change its properties during flight to better enhance its stealth. That is something you are not going to be able to tell just by one picture. A lot of these quality of a 6th gen aircraft is not going to just be able to tell by a picture, and if this is a 6th gen, and they can tell it with just 1 picture, then they won't fly it board daylight so everyone can see......

This looks like a stealth regional bomber or something the Boeing proposed as a fatso version of x-32 Naval Bomber after they lost the JSF competition.

The bigger one from CAC could be fighter bomber, but the other one from SAC is fighter, and China has already have 2 5th gen fighter, therefore this one should be the Next Gen Fighter.

As long as the aircraft is test-flown at CAC or SAC, it means that the overall design has been completed, and the only thing left to do is to continue to optimize and test-fly it until it becomes a mature product, which is why the aircraft needs to be at CAC or SAC, it needs to be constantly modified and optimized between the plant & runway, which cannot be done at a military base"

Like you say the fact that the two planes were flown over cities suggests that the programs are more advanced than prototypes.

Yep, I was thinking the same. The fact that these flights were conducted during daylight over populated areas suggests that it was deliberate to "announce" the event. They could have kept both of these aircraft secret for many years to come. They probably have been flying for at least a couple of years already.

No,you can see it as one Ultra-stealth inceptor that has a 3.0ma max-speed,a ≥2.0ma cruising speed and a ≥30KM max fight altitude.That high-speed,high-altitude and VVLO design will keep it safe while hunting gen 5th fighters,these are some of the most important differentes between gen6th and gen5th fighters.
