One thing, I don't understand.

There are thousands of Pakistanis locked up in Jail throughout the world, Pakistani establishment doesn't give a damn for them while for this particular lady (International press calls her "Lady Al-Qaeda"), establishment and Pakistani PM are personally vouching. WHY ?.

She's been heavily politicized due to the fact that a lot of the charges against her questionable at best, and down right fabricated at worst. She was denied a fair trial, and many times wasn't even allow to meet her own lawyers during the trial process.

She's also extremely well educated, and accused of a great many things by the US. So that's why.

Thanks for the response bro but when Pakistani establishment is making noise, may be it's a clear sign she was there "asset" and working for them. They will only vouch for their own, not common Pakistani.

In this case, she was practically given up on by the establishment, because they wanted better ties with the US.

The only ones who started making noise were a bunch of NGOs, including international ones. This out pressure on the Pakistan civilian governments as well.

To this day, the establishment doesn't give a damn about Asfia Sidiqi, and would rather she just dies and everyone just forget about her, because despite everything they want to increase relations with the US.

If you see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aafia_Siddiqui
She does have something weird about her. Honestly, would you have gone to Afghanistan during the war? After rushing back to Pakistan from U.S. just after the war had started? With a Ph.D. from a well-known university and a promising career in future? With three children to care for? I would surmise she was psychologically troubled and did some stupid things.

There are many conflicting narratives. Don't believe everything you read on Wikipedia.

She was handed over or rather sold by the Pakistani intelligence to the Americans.

It is not the Pakistani establishment making the noise, it is the international media.

Afia Siddiqui was handed over by Pakistan Army and ISI for 55k dollars
along with her 3 children.

A bunch of highly educated people did, actually.

It wasn't that uncommon.

Weird or not, she didn't get a fair trial. Even the most monstrous of people deserve a fair trial.

I think she gets treated as a prisoner of war since she was captured on a battlefield. The rules are different between POW and civilian suspects tried under criminal law. The current controversy in Pakistan seems to be some people being tried in military courts. If Pakistanis in Pakistan are being tried in military courts, a Pakistani in Afghanistan battlefield definitely is eligible for military trial.

Why she and not some other out of more than 200 million? It seems unlikely that she was a victim of random pickup.

Well, as her lawyer and many others have exposed, she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Basically a time when unfortunately a lot of money was to be made.

There is no evidence to suggest that Aafia Siddiqui was ever at the battlefield in Afghanistan. She was arrested in Ghazni, Afghanistan in 2008, but this was not a combat zone at the time.

That's because the colonial duffer establishment personally turned her over to CIA along with her three kids, one of whom, a baby died during the ordeal with the other two scarred for life. Plus the small matter of her being tortured and imprisoned for life on bogus comical charges that weren't even related to terrorism.

We know that this lady is just one case. I wouldn't be surprise if an entire list of kidnapped people exists.
