The HH-100 Aviation Commercial Unmanned Transport System Verification Aircraft is an unmanned verification aircraft independently developed by AVIC XAC Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd. With a maximum takeoff weight of 2000 kilograms, a payload capacity of 700 kilograms, and a full-load range of 520 kilometers, its primary application scenarios include regional logistics, forest and grassland firefighting, fire monitoring, rescue material transportation and delivery, relay communication, and artificial rain enhancement.

The Rainbow-YH1000 unmanned transport aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight of 2.3 tons, an effective payload of 1 ton, an endurance of more than 10 hours, and a service ceiling of 8 kilometers. The nose of the aircraft can open and close, allowing it to accommodate international standard pallets and transport a large amount of cargo. Additionally, it can be equipped with numerous weapon mounts under the wings or carry the Rainbow 103, enabling it to perform ground attack and maritime supply missions. This year can be considered the explosion of unmanned transport aircraft; with both technology and funding in place, it's fair to say we can do whatever we want

The Rainbow-103 has a maximum release altitude of 3,000 meters, a payload capacity of 200 kilograms, and a delivery accuracy of 100 meters. It is capable of performing precise airdrop resupply missions from outside the defense zone. Currently, it is unknown what materials it is made of and whether it can be reused multiple times. To save costs, the US military's SA-PGB Silent Arrow precision-guided airdrop package even uses cardboard as the primary material, so the CH-103 must also ensure affordability. This system, with its folded wings, can be mounted on integrated reconnaissance and strike drones. It receives navigation information via the BeiDou system, remote control commands through an antenna, and uses an autopilot to drive servos that adjust the ailerons to control the aircraft's flight status. It provides aerial resupply to areas unreachable by ground forces, with low cost, no fear of interception, and minimal concern for losses—success is achieved simply by delivering the payload. However, the size of this airdrop system is still relatively small, and larger airdrop containers may be developed in the future to meet the needs of delivering larger equipment.

China orders one million kamikaze drones

China orders one million kamikaze drones

The PLA, drawing conclusions from the Ukrainian conflict, decided to rapidly increase its fleet drones.

As reported by Defence Blog, Poly Technologies has received a contract from the Chinese government to supply nearly a million drones-kamikaze by 2026. According to the contractor, this unprecedented order forced it to turn down other clients' bids in order to meet the deadline.

As noted in the publication, the mass use of UAVs in Ukraine has influenced China's military doctrine. The PLA has already begun to include the tactics of using combat drones in personnel training programs, as evidenced by training footage and public reports on their implementation.

The scale of the order raises questions about its intended purpose, with some analysts saying it could be preparation for a potential conflict with Taiwan

- says the publication.

For our part, we note that the delivery of a million drones to the troops within a year is a large figure, but insufficient in the context of large-scale military operations.

As stated in the Kremlin, 2023 thousand UAVs were delivered to the Russian Armed Forces in 140. On December 21, the head of the Ministry of Defense Andrei Belousov reported that civilian manufacturers and small design bureaus began producing 40 thousand drones per month. The other day, he also pointed out that over 3,5 thousand UAVs are used daily at the front, that is, at least 105 thousand monthly or 1260 thousand per year.

It's fake news. It has been circulating in the Taiwanese media for days.
I am not sure of its original source. But it is totally inconsistent with the basic PLA procurement rules. So I can be 100% sure that this is fake news.

It is stupid to have that large stock in peace time conditions and i doubt that your army is stupid.

Maybe the original source is American associated with Ukraine.

Unless it is preparing for an immediate war or the sort. Maybe the source is fake.

Even then by my opinion, 1 million of one type of drones which could be countered by EW or due lack of targets simply be useless stock is stupid. On the other hand what is not stupid is having ready numerous drone solutions ready for mass production in war time conditions depending which one would show as effective and battle proven.

Procuring 1 million UAVs is a very easy task for PLA. I'm not dismissing this content by saying it's fake news. For it, I'm not commenting.

What I mean by fake news is the way this article is described.

1. the Poly company. Initially it was a direct company set up by the PLA's General Armaments Department, and it's purpose was to import weapons from and export weapons to foreign countries. It does not design, produce, or manufacture any weapons itself. Simply put, it is the window company for China's foreign arms trade, and Poly is not involved in any of the PLA's domestic purchases of weapons and equipment in China; the PLA places its orders directly with China's domestic military industry.

2. PLA is not under the jurisdiction of the Chinese government at all. The Ministry of Defense under the Chinese government is only responsible for recruiting soldiers, resettlement of retired soldiers, production of weapons and equipment, international military diplomacy and other auxiliary work. The Chinese Ministry of Defense does not have any direct military power such as military command, weapons and equipment procurement. China's Minister of Defense is a ceremonial military-diplomatic position, and he is unable to command and mobilize any combat units. any PLA procurement of weapons and equipment will not go through China's Ministry of Defense.

Let's assume 2000 usd for each drone. So, for 1 million drones the total cost of acquisition is 2 billion dollars. Logistics, training, and storage add to the cost.

Doesn't make sense.

Chinese real strength is in drones. The whole global drone supply chain is firmly in China's hands.

The report might be saying different types of drones are involved.
