The west won't make that mistake with India, and they have multiple other places to set up business

West also doesn’t really care that much about mostly low skilled and dirty manufacturing jobs.

They care much more about service jobs.

Service jobs are also easier to repatriate.

Manufacturing jobs are harder to repatriate as they need higher investment and bigger eco system.

Which is why BD made the right choice by getting into volume manufacturing. Much less threatening to west and sustainable.
